Chapter 67: Daze

The gentle night breeze entered the room through the windows as the curtains rustled in the wind. 

The phone placed on the bedside table vibrated. Daisy reached out to grab it with closed eyes but before she could answer the call, the call was disconnected. 

Rubbing the corner of her eyes, she opened them slowly only to be greeted with a vast stretch of darkness. 

Except for the moonlight filtering inside the room, there was no other source of light inside. The King sized bed was enclosed in a thick layer of sheer curtains that moved gently in the night breeze. 

As Daisy sat up on the bed, she recalled the events of the day. They had checked in to the hotel early in the morning and Ryle had left soon after. Daisy finished Angel's routine and played with the girl who seemed lethargic throughout the process. 

Ryle came in between to take a shower and freshen up but he did not linger around.
