Chapter 49: No legal inheritors?

When Diana heard Daisy's response, she fell silent. Daisy's response told her just like her Daisy had also received an invitation from their parents but she did not want to go. And unlike her, she seemed determined about her decision. 

If it was a matter of a few months ago when Diana had run from home, she would say there were grudges she held against her mother, or if not grudges, she at least felt wronged for many things in her heart. Even when she discovered how many obstacles her mother had created for Maxim when they were in high school together to keep him away from her, she hated her like never before. 

She thought she would never want to see the man again. But time, as they said, healed everything. 

It is in the nature of the broken people to cut others, intentionally or unintentionally. But as you heal, you set yourself free from the pain of hatred and grudges. You forgive people for everything they did to you. You heal. You smile.
