When Leo mentioned that Severus Snape was developing an Obscurus due to experiencing high negative emotions and suppressing his magic, Eileen's eyes widened in shock.
Severus had experienced everything since his birth, and his father, Tobias Snape, had treated him very badly since Severus had his first magic burst.
Eileen knew what an Obscurus was; this was one of the worst fears for a wizard in childhood before the Ministry of Magic, which was established in 1707.
An Obscurus is created when a wizard or witch represses their magic through abuse or willpower.
This often happens when young wizards and witches try to avoid persecution by Muggles during the period of war between wizards and Muggles.
After the Ministry of Magic was established, Hogwarts—the very first wizarding school, founded in 990 AD—had jointly put forth many rules and regulations in order to prevent young wizards from forming Obscurus in their bodies, especially Muggle-born ones.
After that, the Obscurus became a legend, and a young wizard manifesting an Obscurus became very rare.
The last known Obscurus was Aurelius Dumbledore, who died from it; his identity as an Obscurus was erased by the Ministry of Magic, who feared their reputation would be damaged.
thud~
"Why? Why is this happening to my son?"
Eileen, who was silent for a few seconds, snapped out of her thoughts, her legs losing their power as she kneeled and started crying.
The glimmer of hope she had—that when Severus attends Hogwarts and officially enters the wizarding circle, his life will change for good—began to fade.
But now, if Severus becomes an Obscurus, he will be hunted down by the Ministry and outlawed by both wizards and Muggles.
"Mom???"
Seeing his mother crying when the brother before him said something to her about his health, little Severus tried to wipe her tears with his small hands.
"____"
"I am sorry, Severus. Please forgive your mother for making your life very hard."
Noticing little Severus was trying to wipe her tears, Eileen hugged him tightly and started to apologize to him.
sigh~
"Ms. Eileen, calm down... I can save him; it's not too late."
Seeing the situation was getting out of hand, Leo interrupted them, telling her that he could cure her son.
"____"
There were a few moments of silence while Eileen tried to process what Leo had just said.
swish~
With a swish, an adaptability pill was summoned from his system inventory to his palm.
"Here... Ms. Eileen, let him swallow this pill. It will help Severus from manifesting an Obscurus."
With a smile, Leo gave her the red pill. Eileen, for a moment, tried to see what type of pill this was.
Even though it had been several years since Eileen had contact with the wizarding world and practised potions, she was very experienced and had high talent and knowledge in potion-making.
During her time studying and practising potion-making, she had seen many ingredients and could even identify some just by the smell.
But no matter how she tried to see through the pill, she couldn't identify the ingredients in it.
"____"
gulp~
After a minute of brief hesitation, Eileen gave the pill to Severus Snape, who swallowed it immediately, closing his eyes.
"Hey... Severus, look into my eyes."
After Severus swallowed the pill, Leo asked Severus to look into his eyes.
Hearing this, Severus looked at Leo's red eyes, in which three tomes were rapidly spinning.
The next moment, Severus became sleepy; his eyelids grew heavy, and he fell asleep in his mother's arms.
"What??? What happened to him?"
Seeing Severus suddenly unconscious after looking into Leo's eyes, Eileen panicked and tried to wake up her son.
"Don't worry, Ms. Eileen. I just put him to sleep because the process would be excruciating if he were awake."
Leo placed his hand on Eileen's shoulder and consoled her, explaining why he put her son in a deep sleep.
After realizing Leo did it for her son's good, Eileen thanked him wholeheartedly.
If what Leo said was true, it was a huge favour she owed him.
"How are you going to deal with him? Is there a way to break the marriage contract?"
Leo pointed at the door and asked Eileen how she planned to deal with her husband, who was still standing outside facing the wall under an illusion.
"It's best if he forgets me and my son."
Looking at the door with a complicated expression, Eileen gave her answer.
Nodding, Leo went out and erased Tobias's memory; from then on, he wouldn't remember Eileen or his son, Severus, even if he saw them face to face again.
He also compelled Tobias to declare that, from that moment on, his marriage with Eileen had ended.

[ Reward: Potion Shop at Diagon Alley. ]
Seeing the system screen showing that the first task had been completed and the reward issued, Leo felt satisfied.
After settling the matters at Tobias Snape's house, Leo left with Eileen, who was carrying Severus, still in a deep slumber.
Leo had stored all of Eileen and Severus's belongings in his system inventory.
Leo's House...
When Leo brought the mother and son pair to the entrance of his house, Eileen looked at the small house before her with curiosity.
She clearly remembered there had been no such house here before.
When Leo opened the gate and entered, he vanished, so Eileen quickly followed him.
As she passed through the wards, she was shocked to see the area around the house had expanded, using a traceless expansion spell, into a vast forest.
When Mavis and the others noticed Leo had returned—and that he was not alone but with a woman and a child—they sent several questioning gazes his way.
'You just went for a morning walk and came back with a woman and a kid?'
was the meaning behind their looks.
Cough, cough...
Feeling their questioning gazes, Leo gave an awkward cough and explained the backstory of Eileen and her son, Severus.
"Don't worry... as long as Leo is here, no one will be able to bully you."
After fully hearing Eileen's story and how she had been mistreated by her husband and brother, Mavis stepped forward and consoled her.
Wakana and the others expressed their support as well, cursing Tobias for his actions.
Hagoromo Gitsune was even tempted to kill Tobias, but Leo stopped her, explaining that he had erased all of Tobias's memories about his family and had also forced him to break the marriage contract with Eileen.
After the conversation, Leo and the others had breakfast. Eileen joined them after settling into her room, while Severus remained asleep.
"Eileen, you're skilled in potion-making, right? How about working for me? I was about to open a potion shop in Diagon Alley."
During breakfast, Leo asked Eileen if she was interested in working in his new potion shop.
"____"
Hearing Leo's invitation, Eileen was stunned and thought carefully for a few moments.
Her family, the Princes, had a strong reputation for potion-making.
Before her marriage, she might have declined, as her family's potions were in high demand.
But now, the situation was different; appearing publicly could draw dark wizards who would target her and Severus for their knowledge and potion recipes.
"Thank you, Leo. I won't forget this favour, not even in death. The Prince family will always stand by your side, no matter what."
After a moment of reflection, Eileen bowed her head in gratitude.
She felt that Leo, like a ray of hope in her darkest time, had changed her life.
Without him, she and Severus might still be trapped in Tobias's cruelty.
After four hours, Severus woke up, feeling completely better.
His fever had vanished, and his magic had increased severely due to the adaptability pill's effects on his body.
Eileen hugged him, happy tears streaming down her face.
When Eileen, though hesitant, explained to Severus about her separation from his father and the erasure of Tobias's memories, the perceptive child quickly understood.
Diagon Alley...
Leo and the others now stood before the new potion shop awarded to him, situated in the heart of Diagon Alley.
They'd arrived via Floo transportation, as his house was already connected to various Floo networks, making the journey easy.
Eileen had provided the correct address, guiding them directly to Diagon Alley—a new experience for many in the group.
The shop, named Continental: Cauldron & Charm Apothecary, was tucked away in a quieter alley just off the bustling main thoroughfare.
It had an inviting, old-world charm that blended seamlessly with its newness.
The beautifully engraved wooden sign, adorned with intricate designs, caught their attention immediately.
Glowing potion bottles in an array of colours and shapes decorated the shop's exterior, with wisps of smoke shifting hues every few seconds.
The storefront had large glass windows, enchanted with strong wards, which showcased rare potion ingredients, softly bubbling vials, and exotic plants.
A display board hung beside the entrance, labelled Potions of the Day, ready to inform customers of the shop's special selections.
Small, enchanted orbs floated above the doorway, casting a warm glow that gently shifted colours, mirroring the shop's atmosphere.
"Let's go in,"
Mavis said excitedly, leading the way.
Little Severus, his eyes twinkling with awe, followed eagerly.
Leo smiled, watching their enthusiasm, and walked in with the others close behind.
Inside, the air was filled with the faint, enticing scent of herbs and spices.
