Chapter 49: Elemental Lords

Talon woke up in a cold sweat, sitting in the chair tucked away in the corner of the medical ward. 

His breathing was ragged, each inhale was a struggle against the tightness in his chest.

Cold beads of sweat prickled on his back, chilling him despite the warmth of the room.

"Another nightmare?" Asked Damian who was leaning to the wall for support, next to the entrance of the medical ward.

Talon, still trying to catch his breath, managed to mutter a response, "Yes, it was." 

As he got up from the chair, he looked and saw that the room was dimly lit, its only light source was a candle burning on a night shelf beside Aria who was next to Thorn.

"When did you get back to the ward?" Asked Talon who finally remembered that Damian walked into the medical ward and claimed the chair that he slept on for god knows how long.

"Just before you fell asleep in my chair." Said Damian with a wide grin on his face as he still leaned on the wall.
