Chapter 31: The Act

Noah, who was still accompanying Shirley, was looking out of the window in the room and he saw a carriage coming to the mansion. 

"Your father's finally here," Noah said, still looking out of the window. 

"That's great! I can't wait to punish that damn witch." Shirley smirked while stroking her hand, very interested in what was going to happen later. 

Shirley slowly lay back down on her bed, making her appearance as pathetic as possible, she had to make her father sympathise with her today. 

After that, Noah also walked back towards Shirley's bedside like before. 

Then there was a knock on Shirley's door, without waiting for Shirley's answer the door opened and Gilbert was seen there along with Rosemary and Joseph. 

Seeing them coming Noah stood up and greeted Gilbert politely, "Good afternoon, Lord Marquess!"
