"Indeed, Thor."
Captain America agreed thoroughly, then followed up with a question, "How much do you know about the planet called Vanaheim?"
Thor shook his head. "I've never been to that place; it's a dead world."
"So, you know nothing about it?"
The Avengers were quite clear on the matter now.
Under these circumstances, Thor clearly was not reliable.
They needed to find another way to locate Jane Foster.
"It seems we need a plan," Captain America said meaningfully to everyone.
Of course, no one had any objections to this.
They established a makeshift command center in the abandoned building.
People gathered together, passionately discussing how to find Jane Foster.
Unfortunately, searching for someone on a long-abandoned planet is inherently difficult for anyone, whether it be the prince from Asgard or the Eternals.
For the time being, they had no good ideas.
"Sir, we've found Jane!"
"She has suddenly reappeared!"
Unexpectedly, just as everyone was utterly frustrated, Coulson brought some surprising news.
"Quick!"
"Where is she?"
What was there to hesitate about?
They immediately followed Coulson out of the temporary command center, through several corridors, to a spacious clearing.
There, a woman, looking quite agitated, was arguing with a few SHIELD agents.
"Sorry, ma'am, you can't leave just yet."
"You can't do this, you are infringing on my personal freedom. It's tantamount to intimidation and kidnapping, threatening my safety. I'm going to call the police—do you believe me?"
It turned out that SHIELD agents had detained Jane Foster as soon as they found her.
However, Jane, a sophisticated scholar, would not sit idly by and began to use legal defenses to protect her rights.
"Miss Foster, please don't be alarmed. We are not the bad guys."
As footsteps approached, Jane Foster saw a group of people rushing towards her.
A man, who at first glance did not look kind, started to calmly reassure Jane Foster.
But that didn't ease her fears.
It was only when her gaze fell on the others.
"Captain America? Tony Stark?"
Jane was stunned.
She did not recognize the suspicious-looking man, but she definitely knew the famous Captain America and the destroyer, Tony Stark.
That helped calm her somewhat.
Seeing these two here, well, it seemed that the suspicious man might be credible, that these people weren't likely bad...
Wait a second!
As these thoughts flashed through her mind, Jane's eyes glanced unintentionally, fixating on Thor with numerous questions.
Why does this man look so familiar?
She was certain she had seen him before!
Definitely seen him somewhere before!
As a top scientist, Jane Foster had a good memory.
Although it had been over three years since she ran into the God of Thunder, she still had some recollection.
She just needed a good moment to remember.
"Excuse me, have we met before?"
Jane could not resist staring intently at Thor, looking for confirmation. "No, I'm sure we've met."
"Of course, we have."
Thor smiled, briefly introducing himself. "When I first came to Earth, it was your car that hit me."
"You're that guy who claimed to be Thor, the lunatic!"
Jane suddenly realized, then couldn't help but show a peculiar expression on her face.
Why is this lunatic dressed like this?
So his illness hasn't been cured yet?
I need to stay away from such unstable people.
Jane grew silently more cautious, subtly stepping back.
Thor's lips twitched slightly.
He emphasized firmly to Jane Foster, "I indeed am Thor."
"OK! OK!"
Jane, uninterested in arguing with Thor, cut him off, then looked puzzled at the others. "Could someone please tell me what's going on? Captain America and the destroyer appear at the same time? Honestly, it's kind of freaking me out!"
"Jane, have you encountered some unusual things lately?"
Black Widow stepped forward, looking deeply at Jane Foster.
Unusual things?
Jane involuntarily recalled being sucked into a "different dimension" in that room, discovering a clump of red particles.
"Nothing! Absolutely nothing!"
Quickly, Jane Foster decisively shook her head.
She feared that speaking of these anomalies might bring governmental oversight to this miraculous place.
Her research could be forcibly halted.
Please, such an amazing place, she could hardly bear to just give it up.
Though Jane also realized, considering the circumstances, it wasn't likely she could keep it a secret.
"Is that so?"
Black Widow smiled. "Then can you tell us where you have been 'vanished' these past five hours?"
"What do you mean?"
Jane's face first showed confusion, then her eyes suddenly widened. "Five hours! Has it been five hours already!"
Oh, no!
Was it really that long!
Jane, who thought it had just happened, was now shocked to realize it had indeed been so long.
"Wait, what about Daisy? What have you done with her?"
Jane nervously inquired about her intern.
As for her intern's intern?
Who was that?
Jane subconsciously ignored it.
"Miss Daisy is fine; she has already left."
Nick Fury took over, beginning to formally negotiate with Jane. "But your situation might not be easy. You may not yet understand your condition."
"What do you mean?"
"We're certain your body has been infested by an unknown dangerous substance. Trust me, that's big trouble."
"And our next step is to help you remove that thing."
Nick Fury was straightforward.
"What's really going on? What is that thing? And who are you exactly?"
Seeing that the other party apparently knew everything, Jane Foster no longer deliberately hid anything, though her expression still held wariness.
Additionally, it's worth mentioning, due to the thwarting of the Battle of New York in its cradle, the Chitauri never arrived in New York.
Thus, neither the Avengers nor SHIELD were as 'exposed' or well-known as in the original timeline.
"FBI."
"The Captain and the destroyer were specifically brought in as consultants this time."
"Ms. Jane, this matter is even more serious than you can imagine."
Black Widow then presented her prepared FBI credentials and placed them in front of Jane Foster.
Dealing with the FBI, as well as Captain America and the Destroyer, even someone as laid-back as Jane Foster couldn't help but tense up.
She no longer held back, sharing her experiences in great detail with everyone.
Aether particles!
Indeed, aether particles!
After listening to Jane Foster's description, everyone perked up, their expressions intensifying.
That so-called "red particle" was undoubtedly the aether particle, right?
"Foestos, it's up to you now."
Nick Fury nodded solemnly to Foestos.
Foestos stepped forward, his hands trembling slightly as he released strands of golden energy.
Jane Foster watched incredulously, "Wow, what's this? What are you doing?"
"Don't be nervous, relax."
"I need to run a preliminary scan on you."
Foestos greeted Jane Foster and then began to control the golden energy strands, injecting them into Jane's body.
Although Jane had never experienced this before, since it was an official operation backed by Captain America and Stark, she wasn't too nervous.
In fact, she was more curious.
Like everyone around her, she watched intently as the golden strands moved across her body.
Buzz!
The process lasted about half a minute.
Everyone clearly saw vibrant red particles beginning to emanate from Jane's skin.
They moved irregularly, like a fluid.
"Is this the thing inside me?"
"Shit! Get it out fast!"
Jane Foster suddenly felt a chill and urged them on.
"Foestos, how is it?"
Tony asked from the side.
"I can extract it."
"But it will take some time."
Foestos, ever reliable, gave a definite response.
Truly befitting a super scientist from the Eternals, achieving what even all of Asgard could not without question.
"No problem, I'm not in a hurry to go anywhere."
Jane Foster was completely accepting of this.
Just thinking about having such a thing inside her made her hairs stand on end.
What followed goes without saying.
No one disturbed Foestos as he worked; everyone quietly watched his "performance."
The place became quietly contemplative.
The process lasted around fifteen minutes, then Foestos suddenly announced, "It's done!"
With Foestos's final word and maneuver,
red particles began to emerge en masse from Jane Foster's mouth, nose, ears, and skin pores.
They all gathered in a small container Foestos had prepared earlier, which he then sealed with several enchantments.
"Excellent! It worked!"
Everyone at the scene was excited, including Jane Foster, the subject herself.
"Jane, thank you for your cooperation."
Black Widow nodded at Jane Foster, "You're free to go now, but we may need to contact you anytime to inquire further."
Of course, Black Widow had no intention of calling Jane again.
She said that just to make her fake FBI role seem more convincing.
"Is that it?"
"Please, you can't do this!"
"At least tell me what's going on, I'm the one involved, I have a right to know!"
Jane Foster, overwhelmed by her curiosity, started shouting at everyone present.
Unfortunately,
no one clarified for Jane Foster.
Black Widow casually assigned a couple of SHIELD agents to send Jane Foster away.
The Avengers and Foestos then once again headed to the temporary command center to discuss serious matters.
What serious matters?
Naturally, it was about how to handle the aether particles, or rather, the Reality Stone.
After all, everyone knew that the Dark Elves would eventually come for the aether particles, and that trouble had yet to be resolved.
"Just as I proposed before, we take the offensive!"
"We go to Svartalfheim, find the Dark Elves, and eliminate them!"
"It's that simple!"
Thor declared resolutely.
Regarding this issue, they had discussed it previously and also reached a preliminary intention:
to set the battlefield in Svartalfheim.
After all, according to the diary spoiling, the Dark Elves' fleet was genuinely formidable.
Neither Asgard nor Earth wanted to face such a devastating interstellar fleet.
Battling in Svartalfheim seemed like the most appropriate method.
"Another planet, huh? I've never been to one before."
Tony said, glinting with anticipation.
The others also expressed their opinions, with virtually no objections.
Everyone quickly made a very pleasant decision: to go to Svartalfheim for reconnaissance.
As soon as something was discovered, Thor would immediately summon Asgard's army to utterly annihilate the opponents in Svartalfheim.
After reaching a consensus, the group didn't waste words and gathered at an abandoned building.
"Heimdall, send us to Svartalfheim!"
Thor called out to Heimdall, who was far in Asgard.
A beam of rainbow light suddenly cast down, enveloping the Avengers and Foestos within.
As the light faded, those who were enveloped also vanished.
Without a doubt, they had gone to Svartalfheim.
Boiled Egg glanced at the empty scene and said nothing, striding off with an impressive pace.
There was nothing more he could do.
Rather, the only thing he could do was wait for good news from everyone.
Yet, after three days passed, neither the Avengers nor Foestos made any moves or news.
Instead, the diary had its latest update:
"Gravitational anomalies have begun to appear around the globe, a precursor to the convergence of the nine realms."
"Dr. Selvig even ran naked through Stonehenge, undoubtedly, the great event of the Dark Elves is about to begin."
"Only, what is Dr. Selvig doing at Stonehenge? Has he discovered something?"
"In the main universe, Stonehenge was an ancient magical formation!"
"Malekith even used Stonehenge to create a 'second-generation Black Death Sword,' unstoppable, even Odin and Frigga together were swept away."
"But in universe 199999, Malekith was no match for Frigga."
"Who would have thought, Frigga, as a great sorceress, is also so powerful in close combat, beating Malekith effortlessly."
