Lloyd silently stood up from his seat with a serene face. He dipped his hands in his trousers and approached the dead captain. His hazel eyes scrutinized the man's body smudged with blood. He then lifted his gaze and a sigh escaped his lips.

Lloyd was aware that the captain was involved in the theft of his gems because of his mind-reading abilities.

He was aware that Felix, the cabin boy, was planning to steal the gems, and he allowed for the theft to punish the captain, by giving him hopes of becoming rich and then seizing immediately.
