"So, what is it going to be, Your Majesty?" the High Priest asked, making a mocking bow to the Holy King, his actions dripping with condescension.

The Holy King's jaw tightened, and his eyes flickered with uncertainty. His emotional turmoil was as evident as day by the mixture of expressions on his face. He was angry at the audacity of the high priest, fearful for his people, and felt burdened by the heavy sense of responsibility weighing on his shoulders, so burdened that he could no longer stay steadfast. 

It wasn't just him who fell into a sea of hesitation. 

The threat of the high priest affected the determination of everyone present.
