Chapter 109: Ch 109: Mayhem in the Old Cemetery!

In reality, the so-called Pope had simply cut off his sense of smell. That's why he was unaffected by the stench in the old cemetery. 

It should be mentioned that it wasn't a result of a soul skill or anything like that. The ability to selectively deactivate senses at will was unique to the Pope's body. Like flipping a light switch, he could turn any of his five senses on or off. This skill proved invaluable, especially in such a noxious environment.

At that moment, grunts echoed through the air. Countless pairs of eyes turned towards the source of the noise, and through the trees, they saw countless reanimated corpses approaching. 

These corpses were covered in dirt, their skin festering, with worms wriggling in and out of the holes in their bodies. Much like the zombies Valerius had seen in disaster movies back on Earth, they grunted occasionally and moved painfully slowly.
