Chapter 63: Chapter 63:- Team 7's first day
"Are you okay?" Sarada wouldn't have cared about Hanabi but since they were fighting together, it would be a huge disadvantageous situation if Hanabi is unable to continue.
"This is nothing." Her clone's attack actually had blocked her chakra pathways but she had managed to free the pathways using the distraction that Sarada gave her.
Both Hanabi and Sarada retreated and regrouped with Sakura. "This is going to be tough...!!" The other two nodded their heads.
Naruto charged at Sarada and Hanabi. But as he stepped forward, he fell into a hidden trap that Sakura had prepared while Naruto was distracted from fighting Sarada and Hanabi.
Booooom...!!!
The ground beneath Naruto exploded. Sakura had hidden multiple explosive tags which were triggered as soon as he stepped on them.
"Did it work?" Sakura asked in a hopeful tone.
"No, it didn't," Hanabi replied. She had used her Byakugan. She was able to see through the smoke and fire and locate Naruto.
"He is coming from behind." As soon as Hanabi informed them, Naruto appeared behind and attacked Hanabi. Naruto realized that she was the most trouble someone in this group because of her eyes that gave her 360° vision and allowed her to always watch over him.
But before Naruto could take out Hanabi, Sakura as a last afford used an illusion on Naruto.
Naruto tried to attack Hanabi. As he blinked his eyes, he realized that Hanabi was two meters away from him.
As a result, Naruto stopped. He looked confused. Sarada used this chance and landed a kick on his stomach.
Naruto was forced to take a step back. When he raised his head, he noticed Hanabi was coming at him from above. As he was about to dodge, he suddenly found his left ankle tied with a rope. The rope prevented him from moving.
"Like that's going to stop me....!!" At the very last second Naruto was able to move out of the way.
"Now there is no escaping...!!" Naruto was about to grab her when he suddenly noticed an explosive tag was very close to him. Seeing this Naruto was about to jump when the rope tied to his ankle pulled him back.
As a result of this, he lost his balance and was about to fall down. But as a ninja, he had very quick reflexes. He was about to regain his balance in time.
But when he turned to Hanabi, she was already holding a bell in her hand and was giggling at him.
"How did you?" Naruto was in shock.
When he turned to Sarada and Sakura, both of them also had bells on their hands.
Naruto did not understand when the bells were taken from him. But seeing Sakura's smile, he kind of guessed what happened.
"You used your illusion?" Naruto asked Sakura. Naruto did not even realize that he was under Sakura's genjutsu because everything felt so normal to him. Nothing was out of place.
"Yeah.....!!" Sakura looked very proud.
"I knew that trapping you inside Genjutsu at my level was impossible. But that would only happen if you realized that you were under Genjutsu." Sakura said with a smirk.
"So when I was about to knock out Hanabi, she suddenly disappeared from my range and appeared two meters away, this was your doing?" Sakura nodded her head.
"Very Impressive." Naruto was very impressed with Sakura's timing and ability. She used her illusion when he blinked his eyes. When he reopened his eyes, Hanabi appeared to be a little bit far from him.
Naruto's mind clearly remembers Hanabi's position before he closed his eyes. So he became confused for a second when Hanabi appeared further away from him than he remembered. If he had attacked the empty space in front of him, then he would have hit Hanabi. But since he never realized all of this was happening inside a Genjutsu, Naruto never did that.
"At the last second, even the explosive tag that was coming at me was also your Genjutsu?" Naruto asked.
"It wasn't a Genjutsu. Rather, the explosive tag was fake."
"I set two traps for you using the smoke cover that Sarada's fire-style attack gave me. I used a clone to get things done faster. While Sarada and Hanabi kept you busy long enough that you didn't even notice anything."
The more Naruto heard the more impressed he was with their teamwork.
"Congratulations...!!" Naruto sincerely congratulated them for passing the test.
Sarada had a small proud smile on her face. However, she knew in her mind that if Naruto had been serious with them from the beginning then their small tricks never would have worked on Naruto. He could have destroyed them in the first 10 seconds of this test.
Hanabi was giggling just like Sakura. Hanabi was very happy that for once, Naruto was defeated even though they had to use a lot of tricks and team up to defeat him. She was still happy.
Another reason why she was happy is because she got the chance to experience what a real battle would feel like. Fighting against Naruto has been stressful. She felt like she was fighting against a real enemy.
'Sakura proved herself to be more useful than I had initially expected. I guess it wouldn't be bad to have her as a teammate from now on. Today I have learned that Sakura could be reliable.' Hanabi's impression of Sakura has improved a lot today.
She was able to do all this just using her brain, Hanabi, cannot even begin to imagine just how powerful and dangerous Sakura would become once she Master higher levels of Genjutsu.
Clap.....!! Clap.....!!!
"You three have worked so well together even though this was your first time. I am really impressed." Kakashi appeared next to Naruto and clapped for the girls.
"You three have passed this test."
"What about Naruto?" Sakura asked.
"This test was never about sending any of you back to the academy. This test was to find out your ability to work as a team and I am very happy and proud to say that you three have succeeded in that." Under his mask, Kakashi was smiling at his students. He was looking forward to seeing what kind of Shinobi his students would grow up to become. As he could already have huge potential in each of them.
"From tomorrow onwards, Team 7 will officially take its first mission," Kakashi informed them.
"It's better not be some E or D rank mission about painting or chasing a black stupid ugly cat," Naruto said in an annoyed tone. He already had gone through that experience once already.
"Actually, there won't be any need to start with E or D rank missions for team 7. Given the level of power and teamwork that you all have shown, I am 100% confident that you all are ready for a real mission outside of the village." Hearing this Naruto was happy.
"This concludes Team 7's first training day. Tomorrow, let us meet at the Hokage Tower at 8 in the morning. Whoever is late will be punished to cut grass for the whole day." Saying that Kakashi disappeared.
"It's over just like this?" Hanabi had even prepared lunch thinking that they were going to spend the whole day training.
"I guess so....!!" Sakura replied.
"Naruto, what do you want to do now? You are not going to head home, are you?" Sakura asked.
"It would be wasteful to return home. I am going to train. What about you three?" The girls looked at each other. It looked like they also had made up their minds.
"We are also going to train." Sarada nodded her head.
"Naruto, please guide me...!!" Sakura requested Naruto.
In their test, Sakura realized just how weak she was and just how much she was lacking compared to others. She realized that she was going to drag her team behind if she did not get stronger. She did not want to be the weakest one in this squad.
"Sakura-chan, how do you want my help?" Naruto asked.
"I want to get stronger. I feel like compared to others, I am lacking a lot." Sakura honestly said.
"Sakura-chan, do you know how to walk on a tree or on water?" Since she wanted him to train her it would be better to begin from the basics and then build her foundation just like how he did it with Hinata.
"I don't know....!!" Sakura replied.
"I know.....!! It's so easy.....!!" Hanabi replied.
When Sakura looked at Sarada, she also nodded her head. "Is this supposed to be a common thing?" Sakura asked.
"Sakura-chan, knowing how to walk on water and on trees is the most basic level thing that a Shinobi is expected to know. How do you think Shinobi travels from one great nation to another in such a short period of time? Without mastering this basic you can never become a true Shinobi." Naruto patiently explained everything.
"Then why this wasn't taught to us in the Academy?" Sakura curiously asked.
"Well...!!" Naruto, Sarada, and Hanabi simply had no answer. The three of them become silent upon hearing her question.
"We honestly have no idea." Hanabi replied in Naruto's place.
Naruto created a clone to guide Sakura. Sakura had the best control of Chakra among everyone here. So for her mastering how to walk on water and trees should be very easy.
"Naruto-kun, do you have any advice for me?" Hanabi also wanted some guidance from Naruto. Hanabi has seen just how much in the span of six months has Sister changed because of Naruto's guidance. Hinata went from being one of the weakest ones in our class to being one of the top-performing students. Hinata had grown even stronger than her.
Of course, Hanabi wasn't jealous about that part.
She wanted to get stronger so that she could do more during missions. She didn't just want to rely on her Taijutsu or her Byakugan. She wanted to have more skills to use. She wanted to be more diverse.
"If you want you can find out with what elements you have an affinity with and train at mastering those elements."
"Do you need any help, Sara-chan?" Seeing Sarada looking hesitant, Naruto asked.
She nodded her head. She was just too embarrassed to ask for his help.
And just like this team 7 spent their first day as a squad. Naruto was guiding everyone.

Note from Author - First of all, I would like to remind everybody that our protagonist went very easy on them. Naruto wasn't even using his 10% powers in this fight. If he had been serious then Sakura's Genjutsu never would have even affected his mind.
