Chapter 106: Chapter 105:- Shadow Manipulation

While Izuku was busy enjoying his honeymoon before marriage, the staff at UA were busy evaluating the students who had given exams.
In the dimly lit staff room of U.A. High, cigarette smoke danced with shadows cast by weary heroes. Around the scarred oak table, the faculty hunched over files, the clinking of teacups punctuating the tense silence.
The Entrance Exam was a success, and now they were in the middle of evaluating the results, to decide which kids were the most worthy to be in UA.
Usually, Nezu would be the one to make the final decision, but the times have changed and this isn't canon anymore, thus he needed the review of all the faculty members, the weight of shaping future heroes heavy on their shoulders, and they couldn't bring themselves to make any single wrong move anymore.
"Todoroki's good fit for Class 1-A," Aizawa rasped, eyes scanning the cerulean-haired boy's file. "Raw power, a sharp mind, and versatility that puts others to shame, he's taught well. Forget the Endeavor connection; this kid's pure hero material on his own merit." Murmurs of agreement circled the table.
Present Mic tapped his file rhythmically. "Mina Ashido! Quirky, bright, and her Acid can melt through anything. She'll fit perfectly in Class 1-A as well."
But the air grew thick with apprehension as two names hovered unspoken, two files pushed to the corner of the table. Toji Yamikuno and Maki Yamikuno, their past a mystery left to be solved.
Midnight, her midnight-black hair mirroring the night, sighed. "Their Quirks are undeniably powerful. Toji's phasing could do wonders, and Maki's cursed eye is a force to be reckoned with."
"But their hearts? Are they poisoned by the darkness in their blood?" Snipe grumbled, his scarred brow furrowed. "Can we trust them to wield such power responsibly?"
All eyes turned to Eraserhead, the silent arbiter of fate. He tapped the files with a calloused finger. "Potential alone doesn't make a hero, but ignoring it makes us cowards.
Toji's actions have proved that even if we don't know what his past is, he has proven to be an ideal hero, who can uphold the values of a true hero even if there is chaos around him, and that's more importantly, he has a lot of potential, yes, but his hunger for power can be dangerous if not allowed to channel into something righteous. He craves respect, let him earn it as a hero."
"And Maki," Nezu piped up, his beady eyes glinting, "Her power is beyond question. She may have a villainous quirk, but her heart is that of a true hero, who even though having a villainous quirk has proved to be able to hold heroic ideals.
Proving that a quirk isn't heroic or villainous, but the person using it, plus her psychological tests have all came positive, meaning she is right in her mind, and fit to be a hero.
More importantly, I wish to make sure we don't lose any more powerful quirk users just because they have villainous quirks, who knows they might turn to villainy, and in the hands of a villain, her quirk can wreak havoc, irrespective of her mysterious past, her strength is built on protecting, not conquering.
U.A. can offer her a haven and a platform for her to use her quirk to help people rather than harming them."
"The Bakugo kid and Yagi kid will be in class 1A, right under my eyes, these kids need a tight leash, as I still don't trust them," said Aizawa with a dead tone.
To which all others didn't question his decision, as they also agreed with his proposal, as who better to control two kids with a bullying history than Aizawa who can humble them by canceling their quirks and putting them in their place?
Soon they discussed all the pros and cons not just of enrolling Maki and Toji but also of other students as well, and they also placed them in their respective classes as well.

And just like that other classes were also selected, feeling satisfied with choosing the right students from the results, all of them nodded as they left the meeting room.
Totally unaware that they had just been manipulated by Izuku. All these students they had selected, the people who go into UA, all these were manipulated by Izuku, all these choices were made by Izuku from the shadows.
Izuku hacked the cameras as he hid the people that weren't that important to him, in hiding, by taking spotlight from them, and just like that he made the staff of UA, see only those people whom he wanted in UA.
Because either he had a personal score with them like Kazuki and Katsuki, whom he wished to deal with personally.
Or he didn't see them as threat either because of their personality, or their quirks like mineta, who were perverts with quirks they considered useless, whom all he had to do was provide some nudity and he would agree to becoming a mindless soldier, or some versatile quirk users he can use like Yui Kodai or Reiko Yanagi, who's quirks were very versatile whom he can use to his own advantage, by slight manipulation.
Or people he wanted in UA, like he and Maki, because they had a goal to destroy UA, Momo who had the most versatile quirk in whole UA, and also Shoto, as he was Fuyumi's brother, so as a thanks for everything she had done for him, he wanted to let Shoto be in UA.
Just like that he showed these people during exam more, often so that the staff gets primed to chose them, while those that could pose a threat to them weren't showed that much, weren't given that much spotlight, as Izuku already had hacked UA's system so he knew the applicants, as well as their quirks, so he had already decided who were useful to him and who not, and he had primed the cameras to only focus on them, gaining 90% control over UA's decision making process.
And the fun part was that even if Izuku or Maki were rejected, they would have entered UA as any applicants they wanted to, meaning no one could stop them from entering UA.
Just like that one week ended, Izuku and Kaina came from their holidays that were filled with lots of love and sex.
And just as he came back, he met with his clone, and after getting briefed on the details as he just took report of the clone's finding on surface level, and after getting briefed on the details, he just nodded in satisfaction as he signalled the clone, and in moments, the clone rejoined and become one with the original Izuku once again.
As he decided what to do now, as the UA things were handled, now he wished to find this unknown enemy who knows about him but Izuku doesn't.
