Chapter 2: Chapter 2 — Against the Gods
As Yuhan turn begins, the field is looking like a close match, on the Red side, Atem has the three Egyptian God cards placed on the left, middle and right side of the field, Yuhan has no room around for a direct attack, which means his only choice is to defeat one of the cards and open a way forward.
On the Blue side, Yuhan has a set of monsters facing each of the God cards.
Right in the middle of the field, facing The Winged dragon of Ra, a set of monsters stood before it, four smaller dragons standing side by side. Both parties facing each other in the gray field.
To the right side, a massive blue monster, Obelisk The Tormentor, standing before him a small demon, with big demonic wings on her back, half of this monster's hair was silver, the other half blue. With a big third eye looking straight into her opponent.
On the left side of the field, Slifer the Sky Dragon, against a warrior in white and gold armor, with little orbs of light orbiting it.
As Yuhan drew his card, the duel was about to reach the 18th turn.
— Draw! I set two cards on the Blue field.
The first card right behind Yubel, and the other card behind the Warrior.
— Now, I play Pot of avarice. Five monsters come back to my deck, and I'll draw two cards!
Atem remained inexpressive during Yuhan's turn.
— I summon Twilight Rose Knight on the blue field! Twilight Rose Knight's effect activates!
As a young boy with white hair and a black armor emerges on the blue field behind the dragons. A rain of petals falls down on the space right beside him.
— I can special summon a level 4 or lower Plant monster from my hand on the space beside it!
Summoning another monster on the field, a small dragon covered with blue rose petals.
— Blue rose Dragon! Now, I use the level 3 tuner monster, Twilight Rose Knight and the level 4 Blue Rose, to synchro summon!
A ray of light green color falls down from the sky, covering both monsters. As the light fades away, an adult dragon covered with red rose petals starts appears on the field.
— Ra's effect activates, when a monster is special summoned in a area of 10 spaces around itself, I can pay 1000 life points, and destroy all cards in the area.
As the Egyptian god activates his effect, his form changes, into a flaming dragon.
— Stardust Dragon effect activates, when a card or effect activates that destroys one or more cards in a area of 10 spaces around it is activated, I can send it to the graveyard, negate that effect and destroy that card!
As a silver dragon flies in the direction of the gigantic flaming dragon ahead of it, a trail of stardust is left behind.
— Ra cannot be banished or destroyed by card effects.
As Atem speaks in a monotone voice, Yuhan responds.
— But the effect is still negated!
As the flames dissipate from the field, four dragons still remain standing.
— From my hand I activate Polymerization! Using Yubel on the field and Elemental Hero Neos from my hand, appear, Elemental Hero Neos Kluger!
As the fusion is summoned before the Obelisk, Atem once again makes his move.
— Obelisk's effect activates, when a monster is summoned in a 6 spaces wide, 20 spaces foward area from itself, I can tribute 2 monster from my side of the field, destroy all monsters in that area. Until the end of this turn, Obelisk's attack becomes Infinite!
As the two slime tokens beside Obelisk disappear, the Egyptian god turns purple. The energy in it's hand blast foward destroying the fusion on the spot.
— Kluger's effect activates! If it's destroyed by battle or a card effect, I can special summon Neos Wiseman from my deck ignoring it's summoning conditions!
As Neos Wiseman takes the field, Obelisk's effect does not activate, there is no monsters on Atems side of the field besides the other two Egyptian Gods.
— I activate the spell card on my blue field, Miracle Fusion! I banish 5 monsters from my graveyard, Elemental Hero Neos, Neo Spacian Grand Mole, Elemental Hero Shining Neos, Elemental Hero The Shining and Neos Wiseman!
A crack appeared in the space, as a gigantic monster descended onto the field, almost as tall as Obelisk, with golden wings and armor.
— Elemental Hero Divine Neos!
But he was still not done, as Yuhan revealed another one of his set spell card on the field.
— I activate the spell card, Synchro Panic from the blue field! With this card, I can special summon any number of Synchro monsters summoned during this duel from my graveyard, their effects are negated, all monster become level 1 with zero ATK.
Two streams for light shine down on the gray area and two new dragons appear on the field.
— I Summon Stardust Dragon and Life Stream Dragon!
With the field set, Yuhan continues with a rushed voice.
— I use the Tuner Monster, Life stream Dragon, and the synchro monsters, Black Rose Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend, Ancient Fairy Dragon, Black-Winged Dragon and Stardust Dragon, to Synchro summon!
A bright red stream shines down from the sky, like a flaming pillar of light.
— Over the Limit Accel Synchro, Red wings of the legend, Crimson Dragon!
A bright red flaming dragon flies over the field facing against the blazing form of the Winged Dragon of Ra.
He could almost see the victory in his grasp, there was just enough time to pull this off, Yuhan kept going on his assault.
— I activate Rank-up Magic Astral Force! I'm Using it on my Number C39: Utopia Ray Victory! Using it as a material to special summon, Number 39: Utopia Beyond!
As a warrior in a white armor takes the field, Yuhan continues.
— Utopia Beyond effects activates, the ATK of a monster in a 10 spaces in front of it becomes Zero until the end of this turn!
Yuhan says as he points to Slifer the Sky Dragon. The Egyptian Gods all cannot be banished or destroyed by card effects, all of them are also unaffected by spell and trap cards, but the god cards can be affected by monster effects if it does not destroy or banishes them. The only way to defeat them is destruction by battle or send them back to the hand or deck with a monster effect.
— Now using Utopia Beyond I discard the Rank-up-Magic Utopia Force, to construct an Overlay network.
With an explosion of stars, a massive dragon with golden scales enters the field.
— Number 99: Utopic Dragon!
With his field set, Yuhan looks at Atem and then makes his call.
—It's time to battle!
