– Misfits 1 – I Reincarnated?
Chris cried out, he was awoken by a sharp feeling of pain in his ass.
Last thing he remembered was his crazy ex having snuck into his new apartment and stabbing him. They had broken up just a couple of months before when they finished college and he realised he needed to be more serious about his life. Along with this realisation came the realisation that just because the sex was absolutely amazing, it was a bad reason to stay in a relationship with her given all the issues she caused in his life. He knew she was crazy, but he would never have dreamed that she was crazy enough to sneak into his home months later to kill him so he couldn't be with anyone else. Who even does that?
'I guess you really shouldn't stick your dick in crazy,' he thought with a sigh.
He was wondering what was going on, but he couldn't seem to see anything.
Suddenly a floating box with text popped up in front of him.
[Congratulation on reincarnating. Welcome to the world of the tv show Misfits. Enjoy your new life.]
After he had read the text the box simply disappeared like it had never been there.
"I guess I really died then. Well at least I've been given a second chance. Since I reincarnated this must mean now I have some kind of system, right? Status.... profile... menu... " he said, but nothing happened.
'Well, I guess I'm not that lucky. I probably should be happy with just getting to live another life after what happened,' he thought to himself.
He could feel something holding him. It seemed rather large. He heard some muffled sounds that sounded vaguely like someone was talking.
'Hmm since it is the world of Misfits there is definitely quite a bit of possible danger to watch out for. I don't even know if I reincarnated before or after the storm happened. Since I don't seem to have a system or a golden finger of some sort I really hope the storm hasn't happened yet. That way I can use my knowledge of the show to get powers when the main cast did,' he thought.
He finally managed to open his eyes, though it was quite a struggle. It wasn't much better though, it was like someone had smeared oil all over a camera lens. Everything was blurry and he could only make out rough shapes and movement. It didn't take a genius to figure out he was probably a baby. Between being told he reincarnated, the pain he felt in the ass, the bad eyesight and hearing. He had just been born... again and he wasn't a Christian.
It took a while for him to make any progress in anything. Being a baby again was a pain in the ass. It took months before he could see halfway decently. His hearing was a little better, but not much. Having minimal control over your bowels and sitting in your own shit wasn't fun either, at least he was good at getting his parents attention when he did so he didn't have to deal with those situations for too long.
Then there was the embarrassment of feeding. This was at least something he could get over easier. It was tasty and felt quite soothing so he would take it over shitting his pants and someone else cleaning him up any day.
Once his hearing had improved it didn't take long to realise his name was still Chris. He was thankful to whoever or whatever reincarnated him and was kind enough to make sure he kept his original name and didn't have to adjust to a new one or get a strange one. The good news was his parents were speaking English with British accents and not Irish, Scottish or Welsh ones either. So at least he should be somewhere in England.
Once his eyesight became clear enough he could finally get an idea regarding his situation. He was happy to find out he should have been before the storm occurred. It wasn't hard to determine given the lack of flatscreen TVs and cellphones. All he could find was those old tube TVs which was a relief. It wasn't until 5 years into the 2000s that flatscreen TVs became affordable and Misfits was set somewhere around 2008-2009. So at the very minimum he should have a couple of years. He hoped it would be a bit more since he wouldn't have enough freedom to get to ground zero if he was still a toddler when it happened.
Knowing he was somewhere in England and before the storm happened was a good start. At least he might have a chance to involve himself with the main cast and receive some kind of superpower.
Over the first few years he realised he had been quite lucky. His parents seemed to be quite well off. Both of his parents were also attractive so he hoped they passed some of that on to him too. Though he hadn't had quite enough time to fully test it he also noticed he seemed to be strangely talented. Things just seemed to come to him quite easily. He had an easy time learning things. He was never sick, rather he would say he was healthier than any baby he knew.
He also learned he was born in the early 90s which finally took care of his last worry. He would be around 19 or so when the storm happened which meant plenty of time to prepare for it all. He could even take a gap year between high school and college to sneak his way into the community service without too much of an impact to his future. He could only thank whoever reincarnated him as he was given the perfect starting point to make the most of his knowledge of this world.
His one goal right now was to get a superpower, everything else was secondary. Who would choose not to have a superpower in a world where others gained one after all? The only concern would be what he got. The superpowers in Misfits were all over the place from mere annoyances to reality bending powers.
