"We found these two individuals engaged in a fight," Inahiro explained, gesturing towards the injured man held by one of his teammates. "It's our duty to intervene and maintain order."
The Sarutobi patriarch's gaze shifted to the injured man before returning to Inahiro. "It appears to be a mere disagreement between acquaintances," he remarked dismissively. "There's no need for police involvement."
Inahiro bristled at the patriarch's nonchalance. "With all due respect, sir, we can't simply overlook such disturbances," he insisted, his voice firm.
The patriarch's lips curved into a slight smirk. "I'm sure you have more pressing matters to attend to, Uchiha," he stated, his tone dripping with condescension.
Recognizing the futility of further argument, Inahiro reluctantly backed down. "Very well, sir," he conceded, though his dissatisfaction was evident in his demeanor.
As the tense standoff drew to a close, Daku, a member of the police force, approached the patriarch with a respectful nod. "If you are like this, it will be difficult for our work to continue. Please cooperate," he implored, his tone earnest.
The patriarch regarded Daku thoughtfully before responding, "Our work is also for the sake of the security of the village."
With the matter seemingly resolved, the squad of ninjas dispersed, leaving behind a palpable sense of unease in their wake. As the Sarutobi patriarch watched them depart, his expression remained inscrutable, betraying no hint of the turmoil brewing beneath the surface.
