Lu Lingche, however, with a malicious look in his eyes, kept staring at her hand, seemingly contemplating which finger to cut off.

Madam Lu noticed something was off: "Lingche, why are you holding that knife all this while? You're scaring Yuyi; put it down quickly!"

Lu Lingche didn't respond to her. Instead, he coldly glared at Lan Yuyi and said: "I'm not my elder brother; there won't be a next time."

Having said that, he forcefully slammed the knife into the wooden dining table with a loud clang.

A dead silence draped over the dining room.

Lu Mingzhen was displeased: "What are you doing? Can't we just have a peaceful meal?"

Lu Lingche seemingly heard nothing, stood up and walked out straight away.
