Qiao Yin shook her head and slid the jade bracelet off her wrist: "Grandma, what's done is done. Lingche loves her, not me. Even if I forced myself to stay in the Lu Family, I wouldn't be happy. I'll return this bracelet to you. It's too special of a gift for me to accept. But I won't hesitate to accept other gifts from you."

The Old Madam stubbornly put the bracelet back on Qiao Yin: "A gift from me is a gift to you. If you don't value it, then just destroy it. As far as I'm concerned, nobody else is fit to wear this bracelet."

Qiao Yin was at a loss for what to do next.

The Old Madam, however, didn't dwell on the issue of the bracelet. She gently patted Qiao Yin's head and asked softly: "Yinyin, tell me the truth, do you still have feelings for Lingche? Even if you hate him, that means you still do."
