"That is what happened..." Adham said, covering his face with his hands, visibly frustrated by what had transpired between him and Caelum, and the coercion that led him to become the white-haired antagonist's second-in-command.

"How... did he know that Azrael was Prince Eirian's second-in-command?" Caspian asked, still trying to register everything Adham had said. "He hasn't even told us yet, and no one else could have known?"

Azrael's eyes widened, and he looked down, realizing that the yellow ribbon tied to him all day since Eirian gave it to him had been visible when he spoke with Caelum.

"Actually..." The young prince started, feeling idiotic for not thinking ahead of Caelum and forgetting that him being a second-in-command was supposed to be kept a secret until the Olympiad.

All three heads—Eirian, Caspian, and Adham—turned to look at Azrael.
