Chapter 114: Into the Real World

"I'm really nervous," Eternity whispered jitterily as she stared out the window of the moving taxi. "What if they don't like me?"

"Relax," Evan said soothingly, placing his hand on top of hers, which was resting on the car seat. "They'll like you. Everyone who gets to talk to you does."

She shifted her gaze from the outside to Evan. Her moss-green eyes shined with hope and a soft gasp escaped her plump, pink lips. 

"You really think so?" 

Evan smiled gently and nodded, giving her hand a soft squeeze to assure her. 

The taxi slowly came to a halt, signaling that they had already arrived at their destination: the RBAB headquarters.

"Wait here for a sec," Evan said.

Before she could respond and ask him why, he got out of the taxi and went to the other side of the vehicle, opening the door for her.

"Welcome to Royal Blue." Evan smiled as he offered his hand, a sense of pride emitting from his tone and posture.
