Chapter 73: The Brother-In-Law of the Doll

The sight of his brother Freiheit standing at his door stunned Evan to his core.

It had been a couple of weeks—almost a month—since they last saw each other. Things didn't go exactly well between the two of them. In fact, it went rather awry. 

But could you blame him?

Freiheit was dating their sister—well, at least Freiheit's adopted sister and Evan's full-blooded sister—like they were some characters in Game of Thrones!

Maybe it would've been acceptable if they lived in a fictional world, but they didn't!

This was reality!

"Evan," Freiheit spread his arms wide, going in for a bear hug. "I haven't seen you since—"

Evan slammed the door on his face.

"Evan!" Freiheit yelled out as he pounded on the door repeatedly. "Come on, Evan! At least hear me out!"

Evan pretended to not hear him and was about to go back to the living room when the knocking was now accompanied by Freiheit smashing the doorbell.
