Chapter 72: The Doll's Book

"I'll go wash the dishes," Evan said as he finished his plate, and before Eternity could insist that she'd do it herself, he took his plate and eating utensils from the table and headed toward the sink. "Go on."

Eternity furrowed her eyebrows, but she didn't say anything more. Instead, she went to the living room and did what she always did whenever she was left to her own devices: study the outside world.

It had been a few weeks since they went out with Edelweiss in the amusement park.

Needless to say, it left a great mark on Eternity, and she has been more excited to learn about the outside world ever since.

Due to Evan's busy schedule, they haven't had another outdoor excursion again, so Eternity had to make do with what Evan could provide: books and media streaming platforms. It seemed like they went a step backward instead of forward toward their goal of enlightening her, but sadly, they had no choice.
