Chapter 40: Naruto's First Kiss! I forgot!

The day of team assignments arrived.

And today is also the day Naruto and Sasuke kissed. Well, I have to do something about it.

Sasuke outfit is the same as in anime. Except he is wearing full trousers and a cape like Shadow (from The Eminence in Shadow) with uchiha emblem on the back.

I entered the classroom and took a seat in the middle row. Naruto was already present, his gaze fixed on me. Soon, Sakura arrived and, with a gentle shove, took the seat beside me. Naruto, undeterred, climbed onto a bench, his intense stare unwavering.

Suddenly, someone push Naruto by mistake. Naruto, losing his balance, stumbled towards me. In a swift move, I shifted positions, placing Sakura between us. The unexpected turn of events led to a rather chaotic kiss between Naruto and Sakura. Naruto, oblivious to the situation, clung to Sakura, who, realizing what had happened, pushed him away.

Damn! Naruto hugged Sakura while kissing.

And so began the daily drama: Naruto running and Sakura chasing him.

But now, I unsheathed my sword and hurled it at the boy who pushed Naruto, pinning him to the wall by his cloth. "Stay there until Iruka arrives," I warned.

"So, Hinata," I began, "feeling nervous?" She simply nodded in response.

"Don't worry," I reassured her. "You'll be fine with Kiba and Shino. And if you ever need help, just ask any police force member. I've already given them instructions."

Hinata blushed slightly, a soft "thank you" escaping her lips.

"How's Neji been?" I asked, curious.

"H-He's... just training," she replied, her voice barely audible. "He ignores me."

"Hn. And he won't bother you until he defeats me," I assured her, caressing her hair gently. "Don't mind your father's insults. He's just trying to provoke a reaction."

Shikamaru snorted, "Look at you, Uchiha. No one would believe you're the same emotionless guy."

I smirked. "Careful, Nara. Remember who you're talking to. A clan head, a vice-captain of military force, a council member. I've already completed an S-rank mission under my name. 6 different attempt has been made to capture me, from which none of the kidnappers got out alive. In short, I have a kill count double your age. I set a record at the Academy, surpassing even the Fourth Hokage. I've created S-rank jutsu in all five elements, something the Fourth couldn't achieve. I'm one of the wealthiest individuals in the Land of Fire. I literally own 10% of Konoha business and 7% of Konoha's land. I already have a bounty of half a million of my head if captured alive. I have the affection of a Hyuga princess. I have my own fan club. I am the one who keep the black flames away. What have you accomplished, Nara? Making cloud shapes in your imagination?

"Shikamaru groaned, "What a drag!

"Shikamaru thought to himself, "Damn it. I hate it, but I also appreciate it. My mom could never get me to stop being lazy, but this guy..."

"So?" I pressed, "What do you have, Shikamaru?"

"Your friendship." he replied, a hint of a smile on his lips.

"Lovely. And that's why you're my friend, Shikamaru," I acknowledged.

Suddenly, a sense of being watched washed over me. I look around and find no one. I activated my Sharingan, scanning the room for any potential threats.

In the Hokage's office, a group of Jounin, led by Hiruzen, were observing the fresh graduates through a crystal ball. "And that is Sasuke Uchiha," Hiruzen announced. "Kakashi, he'll be your responsibility. Treat it as a mission, if you will. You must ensure he reveals the full extent of his abilities. Take a look at his data report."

The Jounin, including Kakashi, were impressed by the report. "So, you want me to test his level and report back to you?" Kakashi asked.

"Yes. Don't underestimate him, Kakashi. You'll be his sensei. You must command his respect, or at least his fear," Hiruzen replied.

Asuma, intrigued, commented, "Look at that. It seems he can sense our gaze."

In the class-

Hmm. No one suspicious is here. Then why do I feel like someone is watching me. Let me remember, what exactly happened in this episode?? ...Oh Yeah! Hokage's crystal ball.

So if I activate my sharingan and look backwards and a little upwards. Right there and now act as if I can see them and now a smirk!

In the Hokage's office, Kurenai, intrigued, asked, "He's smirking while looking at us. Can he see us?"

Hiruzen, with a raised eyebrow, pondered the possibility. "No, it's not possible. Unless... Kakashi?"

Kakashi, ever the realist, shook his head. "No. He doesn't have a three-tomoe Sharingan yet. Even with that, he'd need perfect control on the sharingan to sense chakra fluctuations. He's just acting."

After some time Iruka came and announced the team assignments. As I listened, I couldn't help but notice Shino. "Hey, Shino," I called out. "Can you do me a favor?"

Shino, a quiet and observant boy, nodded. "Yes, because, you never forget my name, and most importantly, because you're a friend."

I smiled. "Just make sure none of those crazy fangirls or Kiba corrupt Hinata or fill her head with nonsense. You know what I mean?"

Shino nodded, understanding the unspoken request.

At Naruto's apartment, Hiruzen and Kakashi arrived. "So, this is Naruto's apartment," Hiruzen commented, surveying the space.

Kakashi, visibly surprised, remarked, "When you said Sasuke pays his rent every four months, I didn't expect this. There's an entire room dedicated to ramen!"

Hiruzen chuckled, "Yes. Now, Naruto is your responsibility. I hope this will be a good opportunity for you. He is a moron, but I think giving him to you is the best, you have a good nose for these types."

"Yes, sir," Kakashi replied.

As they left the apartment, Hiruzen turned to Kakashi. "Now, the last stop is Sasuke's place."

Kakashi nodded, his gaze lingering on a stack of anonymous letters. "Yes, Lord Hokage."

After the team assignments, while everyone else headed out for lunch with their allotted team members, I slipped away to a quiet spot.

And here comes Naruto to tie me up. I can sense his large chakra reserves across half the village.

As he pounced, I activated my Sharingan and cast a genjutsu on him. Naruto, under the illusion's influence, thought that he had already tied me up, transformed into my likeness and fled the scene. I followed him from a distance, ready to observe his next move.

Inside the Uchiha district, Kakashi was intrigued by the tight security. Multiple barriers guarded the entrance, followed by police guards. And beyond that, a legion of feline ninjas patrolled the area.

"It's like a fortress." Kakashi remarked.

"Indeed." Hiruzen agreed. "This is Sasuke's house."

They were greeted by a servant cat. "The tea is ready, Lord Hokage. I'll escort you to Lord Sasuke's room, Nya!" the cat offered.

"No need," Hiruzen declined. "I am familiar with the way. You must have other works."

Inside Sasuke's room, Hiruzen turned to Kakashi. "So, any thoughts?"

Kakashi replied, "Nothing out of the ordinary. He's just as one would expect a clan head to be."

As they left the room, Kakashi's attention was drawn to the adjacent room, bearing Itachi's name. Signs of recent activity were evident. "There are signs of regular use here," Kakashi observed, his curiosity piqued. "But this is Itachi's room."

Hiruzen raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Kakashi's observation.

Inside the room, they found two boards filled with intricate diagrams and notes. The first board contained a drawing of Lightning blade with empty blank spaces, while the second board showcased a more advanced technique.

"Ah, yes. Sasuke is proficient in lightning style," Hiruzen mused. "This must be his research. The first board is about basic element shape transformation, but the second... this is impressive. If I understand correctly, Sasuke can use this Kirin technique without relying solely on chakra. However, something seems to be missing, a trigger perhaps. Kakashi, as a master of lightning style, do you have any insights?"

Kakashi, his eyes fixed on the board, replied, "Yes. My Chidori."

Hiruzen, intrigued, commented, "Oh! This is the perfect opportunity for you, Kakashi."

Kakashi, however, was lost in thought, his gaze fixed on the first board. 'At first, I thought it was a normal lightning blade,' he mused. 'But after seeing Kirin, I realize it's anything but ordinary. Those aren't blank spaces; they represent clouds. If my theory is correct, the destructive power of this jutsu is directly proportional to the user's imagination. This jutsu's weakest attack will have the power to destroy the village. The strongest Kirin would be equal to this jutsu's weakest attack. in simple words, this jutsu's power will be as dangerous as Sasuke's thinking can be.'

As they were leaving, a thought struck Kakashi. He subtly adjusted his band, activating his Sharingan. A closer look at the boards revealed a hidden message, written in a cryptic script.

"You go on ahead, Kakashi," Hiruzen said. "I have some work to attend to at the Police Headquarters."

Kakashi bowed and left, his mind racing. "Just as I thought," he murmured. " That board has the secret writing. But why such secrecy? That attack was weak, only a lightning arrow. But the name... Indra's Arrow. It sounds familiar."
