"Stop, tell me your identification and the purpose of your visit to Uzushiogakure?" asked the Uzumaki guard.
"I am Senju Hashirama. This is my wife, Uzumaki Mito, my brother, Senju Tobirama, and several members of the Hyuga clan," said Hashirama.
One of the guards nodded to the others and began to speak.
"Okay, verified. Hokage-sama and Mito-sama, you can enter Uzushiogakure. The others need to wait outside," replied the Uzumaki guard.
"What?" both Senju Tobirama and the Hyuga Patriarch spoke simultaneously.
"Hey, what does this mean?" asked Mito, her forehead wrinkling slightly.
"Due to security reasons, we can only allow two people inside," said the guard.
"We are not criminals. I am Senju Tobirama, and my brother is the Hokage," said Tobirama, a bit angrily.
"Okay, we will notify the Uzukage," said the guard, then went inside Uzushiogakure.
After a minute, they began to talk.
"What does this mean, brother? Last time, they let us enter Uzushiogakure, but this time they prevent us," said Tobirama.
"Be quiet, Tobirama. Didn't they say it was for security?" replied Hashirama.
"Sister Mito," said Tobirama.
"Huh," sighed Mito. "I think it is because of your behavior. Remember last time you tried to defeat Setsuna, and it happened in front of my father. That is why you are prohibited from entering Uzushiogakure."
"But that brat Setsuna provoked me," retorted Tobirama.
"Yes, but without you, the fight wouldn't have happened," replied Mito.
To be honest, she suspected her father had a part in the disappearance of Konoha Shinobi. She just wanted to divert their attention first, she need to find out the truth without alerting Konoha.
Her father was always friendly with the Senju clan, even her marriage was suggested by him. But now, Tobirama and the Hyuga were prevented from entering Uzushiogakure. Of course, she found this suspicious and wanted to reduce hostility towards Uzushiogakure.
"But..." before Tobirama could finish, the guard had returned.
"I'm sorry, Hokage-sama. Only two of you may enter Uzushiogakure. Uzukage-sama said it is to prevent fighting inside Uzushiogakure because Tobirama did something to a Uzushiogakure Shinobi," said the guard.
"When did I do that? It was clearly Setsuna who provoked me!" shouted Tobirama.
"I'm sorry, but Uzukage-sama only allows Hokage-sama and his wife to enter Uzushiogakure. Please don't make our job difficult," begged the Uzumaki guard.
"You just crossed the line. Prepare to get beaten," Tobirama said, bursting with chakra. Suddenly, another chakra burst. It was Hashirama trying to stop his foolish brother. "Enough, Tobirama. This is my wife's village."
A few minutes later, Hashirama and Mito successfully entered Uzushiogakure, while Tobirama and the Hyuga clan had to wait outside.
Meeting with Hashirama
Upon meeting the Uzukage, Hashirama greeted him. "Father-in-law, how are you?"
"As you can see, I'm still healthy and strong," replied the Uzukage. "Mito, come here."
The Uzukage then hugged Mito and asked, "Why has my daughter suddenly visited me? Before this, you took almost seven years to visit this old man."
"I'm sorry, Father. This time it was because of Setsuna," replied Mito.
"Because of me?" Setsuna asked, acting clueless. "Why do you want to visit me?"
"Setsuna, are you kidnapping Konoha Shinobi?" asked Hashirama.
"Huh, no," said Setsuna. "Why should I kidnap a shinobi from Konoha? I'm living well with my wife here."
"Etto..." said Hashirama. But before he could continue, Mito suddenly interrupted.
"It is because, according to our investigation, they met you before they went missing from Konoha. Also, I can feel the chakra of other clans here."
"Hahahaha, Father-in-law, should we tell them the truth?" asked Setsuna while looking at the Uzukage.
"Okay, Setsuna, tell them the truth," replied the Uzukage.
"Hokage-sama, Mito-nee-san, they came to Konoha to become my students," said Setsuna. "Many parents in Uchiha wanted their children to become my students, and their parents gave permission, same with the Chinoike and also the Hyuga."
"But you should have told us first," replied Hashirama.
"If I told you first, would Tobirama or the Hyuga patriarch let their clan members come to Uzushiogakure and become my students?" asked Setsuna.
"No."
"That is why we secretly transferred them to Uzushiogakure. There are also two other reasons," replied Setsuna.
"What are they?" asked Mito.
"Didn't you notice that while other villages are becoming strong, Uzushiogakure is becoming weaker?" Setsuna smiled while explaining the reality. "It's true that Konoha is an ally of the Uzumaki clan, but the real ally is not the whole of Konoha. Only the Senju people are allies of Uzushiogakure because you guys have blood relatives here. Other clans have never married their clan members to the Uzumaki clan."
"Does that mean you brought other clan members so they would also become allies of the Uzumaki clan?" asked Mito.
"You are correct. By bringing some clan members of Konoha to the Uzumaki clan, we would make Uzushiogakure stronger and also make other clans indirectly become allies of the Uzumaki clan," answered Setsuna.
"Is that the reason why you prohibited Tobirama and the Hyuga clan from entering Uzushiogakure?" asked Mito.
"Hahahaha, Mito-nee-san, you are really sharp. It wasn't your father who prevented them from entering Uzushiogakure, it was me. Those two might deny my efforts and force those clan members to return to Konoha. Only you two wanted peace more than them," answered Setsuna.
"Okay, I understand. As the Hokage, I permit those clan members to become Uzushiogakure Shinobi and not brand them as traitors," said Hashirama.
"I knew you would agree with my actions. Do you want to visit those clan members?" asked Setsuna.
"Okay, show us. I want to see how happy they are living here," replied Hashirama.
"You might be shocked at how well they are in this place," Setsuna commented.
"How is their livelihood? How do they manage to buy food and clothes?" asked Mito.
"For that, let's go and see. It will be more convincing," replied Setsuna.
