She laid down on her belly, hands settled under her chin, and stared meaningfully at the kitten who crouched under the table a few inches away from her.

Soulful blue eyes stared back at her.

Ears twitched forward, focused.

It seemed like a stalemate, neither daring to move.

Suddenly, a hand landed on her head and started stroking her.

"What are you two doing?" Alexander asked, amusement clear in his voice.

She startled "Ah-?! Hey! Snowball is the kitten...!" Isabelle pouted up at her red headed botanist and stealth snarky husband.

He raised his eyebrows, looking between the pair of them. "Snowball is, hm? Well, yes, obviously he's the kitten." Alex mused, yet he continued to pet her hair.

She tilted her head and offered him a sweet smile. "And so..."

"I suppose that means you are my kitten too?"

She flushed.

"W-Well I...you know what I meant..." She huffed, pouting.
