Chapter 34: I'm not vicious, I'm desperate

Isabelle burst through the clinic doors in a panic. The poor nurse standing over Tieya startled so badly that she fell backward with a yelp.

"Tieya...she..." Isabelle gasped, struggling for words. "I-is she-"

Tenshi quickly placed a comforting arm around her shoulder to soothe her concerns, his expression remaining calm despite the circumstances surrounding their arrival. "...yes." He said quietly.

"The doctor will attend to her soon."

She sagged against him, allowing him to hold her up. "Wh-whatever is the matter...?"

"She has a fever. It seems she'd been ignoring it, pushing herself, until she suddenly collapsed."

"...Tieya..." she covered her face in her hands.

He gently rubbed her back. "Look, there is only one nurse attending her. If she were in critical condition, there'd be many."

Isabelle frowned.
