Jiang Xu woke up to find Bai Xiaoya's trace gone from beside him.

After freshening up and walking out to the living room, he saw her preparing breakfast.

"You're awake," Bai Xiaoya said, turning her head towards him with a bright smile upon hearing the movement.

In a moment of distraction, Jiang Xu seemed to see the scene when he first met Bai Xiaoya back in college.

Jiang Xu snapped back to reality, "Why make breakfast yourself? You could have let the staff do it."

"No, that won't do," Bai Xiaoya said as she placed the last breakfast on the table, "I want to make it for you myself."
