William Cole spotted all of this, but he didn't expose her, "Mildred Wyatt, what do you think? Is Bert Keith trying to kill you?"
"I don't think so."
Mildred Wyatt pondered before answering, "If Bert Keith wanted to kill me, he could have done it in Capital City. He wouldn't have gone through all the trouble of bailing me out, only to put me on this ship."
Mildred Wyatt was indeed one of the top social butterflies in Capital City. After a brief moment of fear and worry, she calmed down again and was able to analyze who might want her dead.
"Then who do you think is trying to kill you?" William Cole asked, smiling at Mildred Wyatt.
Mildred Wyatt avoided William's gaze, her eyes darted around the room, "I don't know…"
"Alright."
To her relief, William didn't press on. Instead, he changed the subject, "Let me know if you have any clues. This is my phone number, feel free to call anytime. Also, you can change the password for the lock on your door."
