Four hours later, Shirley woke up and quickly turned her head to see the exhausted young woman beside her. 

Wendy's eyes were drooping as she struggled to stay awake.

"Thanks for keeping watch, Wendy. Get some rest now. I'll take over." Shirley said, prompting a nod from the tired priestess.

Moments later, Wendy was fast asleep, curled on her side with her hands tucked under her head as makeshift pillows.

Shirley watched her for a few moments, remembering the time when she'd felt a deep hatred for the young priestess. 

Now, knowing Wendy well, she couldn't help but feel guilty about it. 

There was no way Wendy had been faking her worry and guilt back then.

Apologizing to the young priestess in her heart, Shirley stood up, peering her head out of a shattered glass window to check if there were any terrorists roaming the area.

Seeing there were none, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Wendy just fell asleep.
