Chapter 4: souls qi essence
I didn't have the time to ponder on this because the streets became filled with people looking for their loved ones some started to break down after finding their dead loved ones.
For most people, death is very distant so they usually don't prepare for it. For someone like me, corpses were nothing. I remember the first time I killed someone it was a cop who tried to cheat me after getting the bribed.
Some people say you get traumatized with your first kill but I didn't feel anything to the point of questioning sanity, but shaking in fear of taking life is like giving your enemy a gun at point-blank range to shoot you in the face. Most were not ready enough they were weak-willed.
As the road got jam-packed with corpses from the elderly to infants. People were inching closer to insanity.
If this wasn't enough as me and some men were helping people get out of the rubble. The night suddenly became clear as a day but I didn't even have the time to react before a haze-like inferno engulfed the whole city followed by scorching pain came all over me.
Abraham woke up beside a cozy campfire with a handsome man poking the fire with a twig. His initial thought was cursing himself for helping, he broke his rule to not do anything unless it benefited him, but quickly directed his attention to his surroundings but found only a forest.
Abraham got up quickly which startled the man. Abraham quickly got into a fighting stance ready to defend himself if necessary the man just looked at Abraham without any reaction.
After a little stand, the man started talking "Nice to meet you, kid. My name is Liam I guess from now on I will be the one that is going to guide you." Abraham got even more confused because he could see Liam's mouth moving and it didn't look like any language he knew like Amharic or English, but clearly he could understand him.
Liam could see this confusion so he started to explain "Don't be alarmed I will explain what I can. From your face, I assume we are not speaking the same language but we understand each other that is because we are bound by a soul contract."
This made Abraham even more confused but before he could ask other questions Liam continued to explain "We will get to our contract later on for now let me explain your situation right now. Let me ask you a question before you got here what was happening in your world."
Abraham started to recall what happened. After listening Liam gave a faint smile and said "It looks like it is the same for the human planet. Well let me tell you what happened, your planet was formed billions of years ago and from its creation till now it evolved my times, and some planets like yours by miracle or coincidence formed life, and life on your planet evolved until humans came to being like other sentient species humans emit soul essence because they can't control the flow of their souls qi essence with their bodies.
