Chapter 36: SILENCE
It's a custom that everyone in the palace should have breakfast at the dining table.
Everyone is seated in their respective seats and quietly eating their meal.
She was so bored of that. It seemed as if there is no life there.
So she tried to start up a conversation.
"I heard that there is a forest with different tree species that have a magical healing power of any disease
Everyone was shocked to hear someone speak during meals.
Neya had just broken a palace rule.
But Jordan decided to stir up her conversation by spicing it up.
"That's true Neya.Even those trees grow so tall they become shadow monsters.
"You are right Jordan. If you aren't careful then they might also trap you and turn you into a shadow monster baby."
Then the two burst into laughter.
Then everyone in the room burst into laughter apart from Nahor.
"That's enough,"Nahor said.
Then the whole room broke into silence.
No one would want to go against a person who had such a voice.
The room that once seemed to have some life became completely lifeless.
Nahor had got angry when Neya burst into laughter with Jordan.
He didn't know why but he would think about it later.
He had no other choice but order silence in the room.
"And you Neya.Learn to have table manners.Irrespective of your own doctrines, this is palace where you need to learn to abide by ours.I hope that you get to understand this soon," He said and left.
