Chapter 11: Offending the Bastion Family
Lucifer: "sigh, it appers, I will have to get stronger to completely stop time but for now, this is more than enough, now where were we?"
Lucifer walked to Barry and redirected his attack back to him before he released his control over time.
CRASSSHHH, BAAAM.
Barry was seen flying as he crashed through the hall before hitting a wall.
Blood spilled from his mouth as he glared at Lucifer who was smiling at him before losing consciousness.
???: "HOW DARE YOU"
A tall man in his late 40s shouted when he saw the unconscious Barry, he is the teacher of Barry, Alan Bere, a rank S defender before he retired and was recruited into the Bastion family to tutor Barry because of his knowledge.
Alan: "do you know what you've done boy, you attacked the heir of the Bastion family, do you have a death wish?"
Lucifer looked at the barking dog and ignored him as he isn't worth his time as he knew of Alan's capabilities as a mind reader and nothing more, he was that weak physically and as for his mind to be peeped at, well he has Friday for that.
Alan: "brat, I'm talking to you, where do you think you are going?"
Before Alan could even think of walking to Lucifer and try to put him in his place, a punch was thrown on his face which sent him flying.
Lucy: "the only one who can call my brother brat, is me, who gave you the right to even think of questioning him, or threaten him with your family, do you think, that will push us back well we are bullied, fool?"
Alan was just his holding his hands face that was hit as it hurt alot. He was fuming in anger but he couldn't do anything to Lucy as he knows he is weaker than her.
Alan: [just you wait bitch, when I get back to the Bastion estate, I will make sure to bring your match to you]
Lucifer walked to Eve and her family and apologized for the inconvenience.
Eve: "no problem, I knew that Barry was trouble when he first came, it was so good of you to show him his place"
Eve said as she found Lucifer's action so cool as he used his powers just now.
Sinclair: "sigh, as much as I am impressed at what you did and also curious about your Talent, I will have to warn you be very careful as you have offended the Bastion family, the most powerful force of Chars and I assure you that they will not take this lying down"
Maciver: "I have to agree with Sinclair on that one, they behave like barbarians when someone hurt their own and this time you hurt their heir and they won't even look at the reason for the clash as long as they can get you back for it"
Lucy: "let them come, whatever they throw at us I will smash it to pieces"
Frank: "sigh, don't be impulsive, we all know that you are strong but you have to remember that they have the most SSS rank defenders and you are not even a SSS rank defender yourself"
Lucy and Lucifer just smiled mysteriously making the adults feel as if something was off as they don't understand where the siblings were getting there confidence from.
Even Lucy did not know why Lucifer was smiling as she knew why she was but she did not want to ask him yet as not to break their mysterious Aura.
Sinclair: "sigh, whatever, I don't know where your confidence is coming from but you have to make sure to not get yourselves killed early, as my granddaughter has taken a liking to both of you, especially you boy"
Eve: "stop, grandpa"
Lucy laughed as she saw Eve's shy face and looked at her brother who still wore a straight face as if they weren't just talking about him at all which made her sigh at her brother's dense nature.
Lucy: "we will be taking our leave now, if you don't mind"
Maciver: "what nonsense, the party has not even come to an end and you are going to leave?"
Sinclair: "don't mind him, I can see that you are tired, why don't you end it here and go back home, your rest is more important than any party"
Sinclair said as he smacked Maciver on his head for not taking a hint.
Lucy: "then thank you, we will be taking our leaves now"
Lucy said as she turned around and left, Lucifer looked at Eve, one last time and nodded in her direction before joining his sister.
Sinclair: "sigh, things are about to get hectic, do you think, history might repent itself?"
MacIver: "I don't know, but what I do know is that something big is going to happen and that is going to change everything we ever know"
Eve: "what are you talking about, gramps"
Sinclair and Maciver forgot about that Eve was among them when they talking about their past.
Sinclair: "it's nothing dear, go, go and mingle with the rest of the guests"
Sinclair said to Eve while eyeing Tracy to take her away.
Tracy taking the hint immediately took Eve away from there and left.
Sinclair: "sigh, that was a close one"
Trixie: "better watch where you are before you speak, today might be a close one, but you don't know of next time"
Sinclair and Maciver just nodded their heads as they also joined the party after Alan has already taken the young heir away making the party peaceful.
Elsewhere
???: "so that's what happened"
Alan: "yes sir"
???: "damn it, those morningstar brats, even after their parents death, their brats are still troubling us"
Barry: "father, I say you find a way to teach him a lesson"
Alan and Barry had already arrived in the Bastion estate, where Barry was fed a healing medicine healing his previous injuries.
???: "shut up, you don't even know anything and what you can think of is only about taking revenge, didn't you hear he has control over time and was able to even make it affect SSS rank defenders like Sinclair and Maciver, even if for a little period, do you know that, that small chance is enough to determine the pace of the battle and moreover, he is just a newly awakened, what will happen when he grows stronger in the nearest future, we might be doomed"
Barry just kept his head low as he was too ashamed to even face the man talking to him.
???: "he is too dangerous to live, but we cannot show our fangs this early. Barry, since you are going to attend the same academy, I want you to get anything you can find about his talents and report back to me, we strike when he least except as well as that Eve girl, they are abnormalities, that needs to be taken care for"
Barry: "yes, father"
