Chapter 18: The Return of the God of War
Back in class Shikami hears his cell phone ringing. Stopping, I take it out and start the call.
"What's going on Boss?"
He was surprised that the boss had called him more than once in a few days, but for now it was better to hear what he had to say, because it could be something very important.
Surprisingly his hypothesis was correct, because the Boss told him some things: "Spyritus, a very annoying problem has appeared in America that is doing a lot of damage in our sites in our possession.
The person behind this incident is almost your age, which is in his 20s. His name is Lin Fan, and he is a Soldier who has just retired, but among his men and even by his enemies he is known as America's God of War.
So far we had sent a couple of agents to kill him or recruited from our ranks, but he repelled them and then killed them with one move, and then said: You want to try to recruit this Seat, but are you even worthy of it?.
We also sent Vermouth to spy on his moves and habits, and we discovered that he is very Haughty in everything he does and so tends to underestimate everyone or look down on them.
Spyritus, now I will give you the mission to kill him, because he is a very annoying enemy for normal agents to face, and therefore he could negatively affect our Organization.
If you succeed I will give you everything you want. However when you arrive in America you will have to head to New York and then I will have one of our undercover agents pick you up"
The story was very surprising, because Shikami had not heard the title of God of War mentioned since he was not in training in the armed forces, and he remembered that on that occasion I faced an elder who was called by that title.
I faced him for more than 10 minutes, before he had cut off his arm and shot more than 10 bullets in various points of the body, since then I have no longer met that General who called himself the God of War.
Feeling his passion that was now extinguished due to never having faced enemies who were capable of putting him in difficulty, his right eye lit up in a Scarlet Red, while the right in a bright Crimson.
Realizing that his emotions were coming out, he calmed down and his eyes returned to a black color as deep as infinity, and then replied to the Boss "ok, I'll go straight away to get ready and leave"
So the call was ended and Shikami went to the principal to get permission to leave for a few weeks, and then notified Ran, Aoko, Kaito, Conan, Sonoko and everyone else he knew.
At the same time Shikami was preparing to leave for America and thus face the God of War, Lin Fan.
New York Airport, a high-level military plane could be seen coming down and thus attracted and then parked in a private hangar.
More than 20 men in military uniforms emerged and they all lined up in lines of two to welcome the arrival of a person who was their idol, hero, comrade in arms, captain and also known as the great and mighty God of America's War.
The one who defended its borders and suppressed any kind of invasion from other nations, the one who controlled the 10 Armies that were known and feared by a large part of the entire world.
They were called the army of death, because every time they came to the war field, all their enemies would tremble in fear and then be slaughtered until only one soldier was left who would then collapse mentally and physically.
A 20-year-old boy with black hair, black eyes, a thin but not at all weak physique, and possessed a low-profile appearance but with a hint of Heroic beauty that was forged in all battles, slowly walked out of the door.
With an aura of pride and admiration, all twenty soldiers shouted "Welcome General Lin Fan to New York!"
The scream of more than twenty men shook the air and increased the pressure thus creating a compulsion that could have suppressed any veteran of the War, but surprisingly, Lin Fan was immune to such aura and coercion.
With a smile he said, "Rest. From now on I will be known only as Lin Fan, and not as the God of War or General and Defender of America. Now I will go and you will have to return to the border, so this will perhaps be the last day in which we will be able to see each other and talk, which is why I will tell you that I was very proud to have you as a companion to give me
All these years in which I sweated hard to rise to the rank of general and then God of War, I would not have been able to achieve this feat without your help and support, for which I am grateful and will consider you my companions in life and death.
Now that you all are strong enough to face all kinds of enemies and difficulties without my help, I may as well retire and get the life that was originally meant to be mine. GOODBYE! "
With a final farewell, he got out and left like an ordinary city boy who had returned home after a long absence, but looking at the twenty soldiers who were crying like children, you could understand how important he was to them.
Leaving the airport, I called a taxi and took him to the richest area of New York where his Adoptive Father, the former General and God of War, lived.
After some time he arrived under a villa that covered an entire hill and thus had the forest all to himself. Looking at the house she once lived in, he felt nostalgic and so he entered with a key he owned.
Inside there were 3 villas the size of two football fields, and in one of these there was an old man with white hair and a beard who looked like the typical grandfather in an ancient and wise style, but if it weren't for two details.
His right arm was missing and there were many wounds on his body including ten bullet scars. He was the former general and God of War named, Ye Tian.
He was once one of the citizens of China, but he decided to defect and so go to America for some reason unknown to everyone, so far he is known as one of the veterans who survived the mission with the code name: Death.
Only the higher-ups had this information, and even Lin Fan himself didn't know how he had caused all these injuries, let alone the Death mission.
He also enlisted to find out some information about what happened, but he only learned that there was a mission in which his father managed to survive, and the mission was Death.
Lin Fan entered the villa only to be greeted by Ye Tian who was sitting in a wheelchair being pushed by a beautiful 18 year old girl. She was her sister and Ye Tian's daughter, until now she had been the one to take care of all her father's needs.
But only when there were holidays, because she also had a life that included school and going out with her friends who invited her.
Reunited after many years of separation, all three were happy to tell each other their adventures and so they spent the whole day reminiscing, so one day passed and unbeknownst to everyone, Shikami finally landed on American soil.
