Chapter 13: BEING A BODYGUARD
'I can't believe the Mayor of this city could be this old and why is that girl here?' Hutton thought with an astonished expression on his face as he stared at an old man coming out of the entrance at the other end of the building along with Kenneth, two middle aged men and the girl he saw earlier this morning.
After approaching Hutton who is still on the platform, the Mayor said with a friendly smile on his face...
"I would like to thank everyone one of you for making out a time to attend this exciting event but unfortunately, I didn't know this anticipating event will unexpectedly come to an end by this young man"
"So I am personally giving this young man his reward for shocking everyone of us with his explosive strength and instantly winning this competition" The Mayor continued as he unhurriedly brought out a cheque and handed it to Hutton.
"Am deeply honored for personally handing me this reward" Hutton said in a respectful tone as he received the reward solemnly on the surface and jubilating heavily in the inside.
'Now that I have gotten what I want, I need to quickly leave this place' Hutton thought after calming down a little, but what he heard next quickly made him go blank.
"Oh don't be like that. Besides, I have heard a lot about you so I would like to have a private conversation with you" The Mayor said with a satisfied look on his face.
'He has heard a lot about me? Where?' Hutton thought with a confused expression on his face, but not too long after, a thought suddenly came into his mind which made him to secretly glance at Vivian.
But he quickly cursed internally after seeing Vivian glancing back at him with a mischievous smile on his face. While all this is going on, Turner quickly signaled the con looking artist to end the event.

Located in a well lit and spacious room that seems to be an office, a group of people could be seen being seated. This group of people consisted of two slightly aged men, two middle aged men, a lady and two men that are in there 20s.
"Sir, can I ask why you would like to have a private conversation with me?" Hutton couldn't take it anymore as he quickly asked. Right now, Hutton want to hurry back to his restaurant to kickoff his plans. But this old man suddenly asked for a private conversation with him which is nearly making him angry.
"Oh no it's nothing much. But before I tell you the reason, I would like to ask if you have been a bodyguard before?" The Mayor asked with a amicable smile on his face.
"A bodyguard?" Hutton asked with a confused expression on his face.
"Yes, a bodyguard" The Mayor said again in a confirmative tone. Apparently, Hutton have a bodyguard to a few people during his past life while he was climbing the ranks of being a commander.
"Unfortunately I haven't sir" Hutton said with a calm look on his face. Why Hutton decided to lie is because if he decided to say the truth, he might be asked to do something for the Mayor which apparently is the last thing he currently wants to do.
"Umm... May I ask why you are asking him this question?" Kenneth asked with a confused expression on his face.
"It seems I just have to be straightforward. We are having this private conversation because I would like you to be my dear little daughter's personal bodyguard" Mayor said calmly.
"What?" Hutton involuntarily said with a blank look on his face. But his face quickly came back to normal as he ask...
"Sir... Am I able to decline this offer?"
"What?" Mayor suddenly said with a blank look now on his face. But Hutton's question did the exact opposite for the Stephen and Turner.
"How dare you decline the–" Turner said with an indignant expression on his face before he got interrupted by his dad.
'He actually declined the offer' Vivian thought with an astonished look on her face. I her mind, she thought giving him the job of being her personal bodyguard might even weep in joy, but she never knew he currently don't want to be here any longer.
"Can't you at least consider it. My daughter always leaves home without carrying any of the house bodyguards and there are people out there who are trying to get to me through my family" The Mayor said with a bitter smile on his face.
In truth, he knew Hutton might decline his request. For someone who could guide Master Kenneth into the Grandmaster rank, his pride must surely be off the roof.
When Hutton heard what the Mayor said, he quickly began to ponder if this job will benefit him in anyway.
'I can't believe he is considering the offer given to him by our Mayor' Kenneth thought with a forced smile on his face.
Apparently, he also didn't want Hutton to become Vivian's bodyguard because it can affect his time of being guided by Hutton. But there is nothing much he could do since this request is coming from the Mayor himself. If it was someone else, he would have decisively decline the offer for Hutton.
"I will agree to be her personal bodyguard under two conditions" After pondering for some moments, Hutton finally said with a solemn look on his face.
When Stephen and Turner heard what Hutton said, they nearly puked out blood in anger. As for Liam who was been silent the whole time, he quickly looked at Hutton in awe.
'He is actually giving my dad conditions' Vivian thought with a strange smile on her charming face.
Throughout Mayor's life, the only people who have given her dad conditions when he offered them good requests are either his business partners or people in the Grandmaster rank. Although Hutton might be in the Grandmaster rank, he is still too young to give her dad conditions.
But shockingly, the Mayor didn't seem to be fazed when hearing what Hutton said as he asked with a gentle smile on his face.
"What are your conditions?"
"The first condition is that I will only act as her bodyguard when she is moving out or when there isn't any bodyguard available" Hutton said calmly.
"That isn't an issue. Then what about the second condition" The Mayor said with an expression that makes him seem like he expected this condition.
"The second condition is more like a 'pay before service' kind of condition. And my payment fee must not be lower that 100,000 bucks" Hutton said with the same calm look on his face. When the Mayor heard this, his face slightly twitched. But he still retained the calm smile on his face as he said.
"There is no problem with this condition either. Since I have accepted your conditions, can I state mine"
"Feel free sir" Hutton said in a casual tone.
"Well my condition is kind of simple. I just want my daughter to come home every single time without even a strand of hair missing on her head" The Mayor said with a solemn look now on his face.
"That isn't an issue Sir. Since it has been settled, can I leave now?" Hutton asked with a calm look on his face. He really want to leave this place because not only do he want to kick off his plans for his restaurant, but he also wants to treat his right hand that has been useless for the moment as soon as possible before it gets worse.
"No need to rush Mr. Hutton, we still need to sign the contract" The Mayor said with a light chuckle before looking at Stephen behind him. With a light nod, Stephen quickly brought out a sheet of paper from a briefcase that was beside him and handed it to the Mayor.
"I will sign here..." The Mayor said while signing on the contract before pushing it to Hutton who is on the same table as him and said..
"...and you will sign there"
'Thank the heavens I can fluently write with both hands if not I will be in a pickle' Hutton thought as he used his left hand to sign on the contract.
As soon as Hutton signed the contract and the Mayor gave the contract back to Stephen, he finally said in a relieved tone.
"Now that you have signed the contract, you have officially my daughter's personal bodyguard. Hope you will protect her well"
"Of cause sir. Now that it has been done, this is a farewell for now sir" Hutton said before getting up and leaving the room.

Chapter 14: A NEW START
'I can't believe he decided to leave so decisively' The Mayor thought with an astounded look on his face. Not only him, but even the others have a colorful expression on their faces.
But Hutton didn't care at all as he quickly left the Mayor's office and went to the hospital right beside the Mayor's office.
Right after getting his arm treated and bandaged along with the paying the bills, Hutton got out of the hospital and took a cab that was going to a particular street at the outer region of the city which was called the 'Venice street'.
Why this street was named like that is because of a relatively famous estate that is located at this street. Although this estate could not be compared to the renowned and high class famous estate at the major and capital city of the country, it still has a few luxurious houses with excellent customer services.
'Now that I have gotten the money I wanted, I should first change my living area before focusing on the restaurant' Hutton thought while still resting in the car.
Although the place he currently live in isn't too shabby, he still wasn't comfortable with the environment. Due to how luxurious he lived in his past life as a commander of a regiment and the weak body he is currently in, he was having a hard time adapting to the sudden change of environment.
So right before he could develop the restaurant, he decided to find a suitable area for the body he was currently in and luckily for him, the Venice estate was the perfect match.
'Besides, what Veronica told me that was the total budget for the total transformation of the restaurant is just 400,000 bucks. So the rest of the money should be enough for me to get a house' Hutton thought as he gave out a light chuckle.
Not too long after that, the driver suddenly spoke up "We have arrived sir"
"Oh?" Hutton said before looking through the window that is beside him. What he saw is a police checkpoint that was blocking the entrance of a rather wide compound.
"Ok, here is your fee and keep the change" After looking at the environment for some moments, Hutton finally said as he brought out his bandaged right arm which is holding a rectangular shaped note that has the word '10 bucks' written on it.
"Thank you sir!" As soon as the driver saw the note, he quickly exclaimed in joy while taking the note in a gentle manner. As for Hutton, he quickly left the cab after giving the driver the note.
"Halt!" As soon as Hutton approached the checkpoint, a thunderous voice rang out from the little building right beside it a man quickly came out.
This man almost have the height of a infant giant as he stood right in front of Hutton. He has a messy looking dark hair, a pair of dark eyes in which the left eye has a hideous scar that ran through it and coupled with his dark blue and black military clothes and his oppressive aura, he looked like someone that could topple a car over. But unfortunately for the man, this display of power didn't even fazed Hutton as he calmly looked at him.
'He is actually not fazed by my presence?' Although the man was surprised to how calm Hutton is in front of him, he quickly dismissed the thought as he asked solemnly.
"What affair do you have here sir?"
"I would like to purchase a house here" Hutton said with an indifferent look on his face.
'Purchase a house?' The man thought as he gave Hutton a strange look. Although the man has a principle of not judging a book by it's cover, he still couldn't help but have doubts to what Hutton just said.
Right now, Hutton wore a simple track suit and a slightly worn out canvas, coupled with his bandaged right arm and his unkept hair, he looks like someone that is homeless.
So what the guard was thinking is how can someone like this possibly have the money to purchase a house. But he later removed the thoughts from his mind as he said rather stiffly.
"Follow me"
And so, Hutton followed the guard towards a two storey building which is right next to the checkpoint. After getting into this building, they went straight to the counter.
"Mrs. Daisy, I got someone who wants to purchase a house" the guard said after approaching the counter.
Behind the counter is a woman who has dark glowing hair that are all tied at her back, a seductive pair of dark eyes that seems to have the ability of making people go dazed when they looked at her, a face that seems to have walked out of a painting and an extremely busty body that is covered up in a white and black colored suit.
"Purchase a house?" As soon as this woman who is named Daisy heard what the guard say, she immediately blurted out with sparkling.
Although the Venice estate is relatively famous in the city or even the region, very few people come to purchase a house. Not only that but the ones that come to purchase a house only plans on getting a medium sized house. Except for a particular individual who has bought one of the few luxurious houses, the rest were totally free.
Daisy was hoping if this person could buy a luxurious house so that here pay could increase. But unfortunately, she immediately have a disappointed look on her face after seeing who wants to purchase a house.
"Yeah, this is the person. Now if you would excuse me" The guard said before he began to walk out of the building. When Daisy saw the guard leaving, she started having the urge to call him back but she eventually didn't as the guard left her sight.
'I can't believe my day just got worst' Daisy thought as she weeped internally. But Hutton who obviously didn't notice it as he asked.
"So where can I purchase a house?"
When Daisy heard this, she nearly wanted to shout at Hutton for not seeing the area he is in. Even if few people come to purchase houses in the estate, the price for a medium sized house here is still extremely expensive not to talk about the luxurious houses.
'Forget it, I will just make him back off after seeing the prices for the houses here' Daisy eventually thought as she suddenly brought out a forced smile while saying.
"You can purchase a house here, here are the houses available and there prices"
After saying that, she brought out a simple pamphlet that has various kinds of houses and there prices listed on them and gave it to Hutton.
"Let me know when you have decided on a house you want to purchase" Daisy said with the forced smile still on her face.
"Ok" Hutton said while recieving the pamphlet before walking towards a chair in the hall and sat down.
'Just as I expected' Hutton thought as he looked at the different price of the houses. The price of the various houses ranges from 500,000-1.3 million as the ones that are in the millions are the luxurious houses while the one in the thousands are the medium sized houses.
While Hutton was deciding which house he will purchase, another guard came into the hall along a blonde haired youth.
"It's you!" As soon as the youth came into the hall, he quickly noticed Hutton who was seated at the right side of the hall. Following that, he quickly exclaimed as he pointed at Hutton while have both anger and fear in his eyes.
'It seems like my fate is relatively tangled up with these guys' Hutton said with a light smile on his face while glancing at the blonde youth.
This blonde youth is none other than the twin brother of the person Hutton used to display his power at the competition close to the Mayor's office.
"Do you know this person Mr. Smith?" The guard asked as he looked at the fearful and angry blonde youth.
"No, I don't know him" After taking in a deep breath, the youth which is name Smith eventually said before he approached the counter.
Although Smith really wants to get his revenge for his brother who is still unconscious in the hospital, he just couldn't do it after seeing that demonic strength Hutton previously displayed in the competition.
"I would like to purchase a house" After approaching the counter, Smith said with a rather depressed voice.
