Chapter 45: Reunion in the Dark

Alex felt his body being dragged by a nonstop force. It was like being smashed once again. Once again? He remembered the truck that had made him come to this world. He felt like dying, but in his mind, he was sure he wasn't dead.

The weight against his whole body was like a massive discomfort, but it didn't feel like the void of dying, not even close to the pain he now knew he felt as the truck's tires ran over his body and crushed his skull.

He was just being transported to a new place and had Tina's hand on his own. He intended to take the girl with him back to the others, not join in this strange trip into darkness. Nothing had told him the portals had such a gravitation pull to it, but it was what it was. He would need to find a way to survive this mess and get back to the guild members.
