A few days later, Zethus woke up in the middle of the night noticing the girl beside him whimpering in discomfort. The radiating light from the electric rock inside the room akin to a swirling bolt lamp revealed her pallid and strained face that is in no way fairing positively. 

Her dry and chapped lips stretched in a thin line while her drenched eyebrows furrowed along with the beads of cold sweat flowing from her forehead.

"Wife…? Wife… hey! Wife, wake up!" The man's low baritone voice whittled with worry echoed her name as he started rocking her body nonstop but with just the right amount to have her awaken from what was causing her to have such an untamed reaction.

However, a minute passed but she was still unresponsive. To make it worse, she started groaning, her breathing became deeper and quicker which immensely increased the worry in the white snake's unsettled heart.
