They didn't know when they stumbled on this place. Or perhaps this place had always been playing tricks with them, and the space was too distorted for them to take the bait and encounter these beasts. 

Whatever the truth was, it couldn't change the fact that they were already in this dangerous situation. 

Aerine scanned the crowd while clenching her hands tightly. Her heart was already thumping wildly in her chest from nervousness and even fear. 

She knew that at some point in this trip, it was possible to encounter them unless they were extremely lucky, which obviously none of them were as they were all in the same precarious situation. 

These 'degenerate criminals' appearances were indeed unsightly. They stared maliciously at the three, their drools dipping down from their mouths. Their eyes were hollow, undoubtedly the eyes of a beast without any consciousness but only murderous intentions.
