Chapter 57: Becoming Closer

Aerine had already thought of a solution for how to hide her growing habit of touching the mark on her chest, which was the reason for wearing a necklace. And now that Lucian gave her one, it seemed it was really a great alternative, much more than the normal necklace. 

"Uhm..." Aerine thought of something but hesitated for a while. Still, she was becoming bolder as the days passed and went on. "Can I have your number?" 

Aerine herself had only begun using a phone, and she had few contact numbers saved in her phone. She suddenly wanted to have Lucian's contact number; having it saved on her phone was already enough, even if they wouldn't contact each other in the future. 

To her surprise, Lucian became confused as he tilted his head. "My number?" 

"Yes... your phone number." 

Lucian stared at Aerine intently and pondered what she meant. Slowly, a light of understanding dawned on his eyes.
