Chapter 161: For Survival

The neverending gaze of an apex predator stared at him. For inexplicable reasons, the demon bear from before had caught up to them, and was staring directly at Lua. He instantly leapt from his spot. 

Running wasn't an option. If they ran, the bear would catch up to them in no time because of how exhausted Secim was. So, there was only one option remaining: to stand and fight.

Lua quickly rushed to his bags and equipped his gauntlets. He felt the power of the flame rune surge throughout him, and on his neck was the necklace gifted to him by Catherine. This was to be a fight for survival. One was going to die, or run away. 

The bear had been oddly stalking them for quite some time. Lua knew that this wasn't standard behaviour for beasts, but he had no time to think. What mattered was that the bear had not only found them, but had also caught up to them long ago. This was no longer a simple matter.
