Amelia's POV

"Well, she doesn't earn that much. Raising a child isn't easy, especially for a single parent. And it doesn't seem like Ms. Dawson cares enough for her child. So, I don't think it would matter to her that—"

That's enough. I can't take it anymore. They were just mocking me and my child while pretending to be a worry.

"And I don't understand how that worries you,  Ms. Thompson," I asked while getting up,  cutting  Sydney in the middle.

"Ms. Dawson!"

They were startled by the sudden presence, but the shocking expression on their face was worth watching. They looked terrified.

Damn, my knees started to ache just because I bend down on my knees for a while.

"What are you doing here, Ms. Dawson?" Sydney asked, shaking in fear.
