Chapter 58: Chapter 58

[Third Person's PoV]

"Since we're being honest and upfront, let me be forthright as well... We all hate you and wish you dead."

Alexia's expression froze in shock, managing only a faint "Huh?"

Despite the harshness of Kalandra's words, her expression remained unchanged, her smile as radiant as ever, capable of illuminating the entire room.

Alexia was left speechless and unsure of what to say. She couldn't comprehend why they held such animosity toward her when she didn't even know them personally.

'Is it because I admitted my feelings for him? Do they fear I'll steal him away? I don't consider myself as beautiful as she is, so why is she so concerned?' Alexia's mind raced, desperately seeking a reason behind their hostility.

As Alexia's mind raced, attempting to understand the cause of their hostility, Kalandra spoke up sharply, addressing her unspoken thoughts.

"Don't pretend you're oblivious. If it were anyone else, we would have embraced them as a sister, albeit after getting to know them. But it just had to be you. There are two reasons why we refrain from eliminating you or sending others to hunt you down.

Firstly, our husband harbors a certain fondness for you, even if it's minuscule. Whatever he takes a liking to is what we strive to secure. And secondly, our husband isn't keen on making a pointless massacre against a kingdom or engaging in a pointless conflict unless necessary.

"So, count your blessings for whatever fortuitous star shines upon you," Kalandra concluded calmly, her expression unchanged as she intermittently sipped her tea.

"Firstly, I'm completely clueless about what I might have done to earn such hatred from all of you. We haven't had any conflicts or issues with you or Cid. Even my sister confirmed that we don't have any grievances so why—"

Alexia's words were abruptly cut short as Alpha's magical manifestation intensified, exerting immense pressure on her. It became suffocating, constricting her throat and impeding her breathing. Desperately struggling for air, she looked toward Kalandra for assistance, only to find an enraged expression replacing the previous smile on Kalandra's face.

In a chillingly cold tone that replaced her earlier serene demeanor, Kalandra's voice sent shivers down Alexia's spine. "What? What does that bitch mean by 'we don't have any grievances'? It might have been your fault that it occurred, but she was the one who ordered it. And she has the audacity to claim no grievances...

I swear I'll tear that filthy bitch apart. She hasn't even apologized or shown an ounce of remorse for her actions, and yet she dares to say there are no grievances."

Struggling and gasping for air, Alexia's outstretched arm accidentally knocked over the tea set before her, an action that caught Alpha's attention, abruptly halting her enraged state. Witnessing the spilled tea, Alpha took a deep breath, regaining her composure.

Gradually reducing her magical pressure, Alpha allowed Alexia to breathe freely once more. Still clutching her throat, Alexia gulped mouthfuls of air, trying to replenish her lungs after the suffocating experience.

Finally catching her breath, Alexia's voice trembled with anguish as she pleaded, "What in the world did I do to deserve this treatment from you? Please, just tell me already!"

"It's because of your self-centered actions, using him as a shield against a suitor instead of handling it maturely. He endured pain and torment all because of your need for someone to do it.

As your supposed fake boyfriend, he was the primary suspect in your abduction. He was the first and only suspect—no other possibility was considered besides him."

"And what does your sister do? At the first opportunity, she sends guards after him, locks him up, and subjects him to interrogation," Alpha's voice trembled, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Do you even know how they interrogated him?" Kalandra's question pierced Alexia, her eyes also filling with tears.

Shocked and unaware of Cid's imprisonment, Alexia shook her head, confessing her ignorance of the situation. Kalandra's eyes lost their emotion, appearing hollow as if she had repressed all of her feelings to an extreme.

"They whipped him for days, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

"His back was nearly stripped of skin, covered in large, bleeding gashes; some of his bones were even visible," Alpha recounted. "He presented his case and said he innocent, claiming he didn't kidnap you. He responded once, refusing to speak further to people who wouldn't listen."

Alexia, attempting to stifle her scream, covered her mouth with both shaky hands, tears streaming down her cheeks. She broke down, weeping uncontrollably. "I'm so sorry, it's all my fault. I didn't question it because he appeared fine."

Kalandra wiped both eyes as she said "Of course he's fine, our husband is strong, he's the strongest there is, so the marks didn't last but that didn't mean he didn't fell the pain. I can't even begin to imagine the anguish he went through"

Alexia like a broke record kept repeating herself over and over again "I'm sorry, it's all my fault"

"So as you can see we don't have the highest opinion of you at the moment. Our sister in law went and talked with your sister. But even after all that Iris being the smart bitch she is decided to keep Cid for a few more days

Just so you know, the sole reason she even agreed to release him was because of Claire. If she hadn't gone there and threatened to go to war for her brother, he would have remained captive until your situation was resolved, continuing to endure torture," Kalandra mentioned, her expression slightly less burdened.

She had been suppressing her emotions since Cid was kidnapped. When she asked Cid why he allowed it all, he simply replied that killing everyone and going to war was foolish, an answer she didn't appreciate but understood.

The only reason she became aware of and witnessed what happened to Cid was because Beru couldn't contain his emotions and revealed his disdain for the situation. He transmitted what he observed through the connection they have with Cid.

"I'll fix this. I truly had no idea about what happened to Cid. He never mentioned anything, and he didn't seem like something was wrong, so I was unaware. Regarding my sister, I'll personally and genuinely make apologies. If necessary, I'll even forcefully drag her by the hair come and meet Cid."

Alexia's emotions boiled with an urge to confront her sister. The man she deeply cared for, the one who selflessly helped her, was brutalized, and she blamed herself entirely for it.

Addressing Kalandra, Alexia asked, "What can I do to make things right? I'm ready to do whatever it takes."

Kalandra calmly responded, "We don't want anything from you. No matter how much we say we dislike you, ultimately, it's not up to us whether you and Cid become a couple. It's his decision. We'll respect his choice, even if it means he chooses someone like you. All we want is his happiness and love."

Alexia didn't reply and remained bowed down, clenching her lip until it bled.

Chapter 59: Chapter 59

A/N: JK i was just feeling goofy 🤪 🤪🤪, y'all stuck with me forever

**************************************

[Third Person's PoV]

Kalandra released a long, heavy sigh as she watched Alexia bite down on her lip. Despite her inner turmoil, Kalandra realized it was time to set aside her personal animosity. She understood that now was the moment for logical thinking, not driven by her emotions, despite the overwhelming urge to inflicted horrendous pain toward Alexia.

As the representative for all of them, Kalandra knew her role extended beyond leadership as the Sin of Pride. It encompassed the wisdom she'd gained while leading—a discernment between emotional responses and rational thinking.

Rationally, she recognized the futility of blaming a victim. Alexia hadn't chosen to be in this situation, and Kalandra comprehended that, despite her desire to assign fault to her.

After thinking about it all Kalandra could do was shake her head "Look this meeting is a worthless endeavor, no matter how hard I try at this very moment I just don't like you. I don't know about the future so I can't say honestly how I would feel about you.

The only advice I'm willing to give you since we both fell in love with the same man is to get him to love you, not the little tiny amount of liking he has towards you right now. But genuinely love you, then if only then would we not completely hate you.

There would be a sort of dislike obviously but no hate, we as his wives could never hate something he loves. It goes against anything we stand for, his happiness is our happiness, so if he's happy with you, there is just no way we can hate you."

Alexia lowered her head, clenching her fists so tightly that they began to bleed. Still bowing, she murmured, "Thank you for your advice," to Kalandra before leaving the store.

Kalandra nodded as Alexia departed, her hands still clenched and blood dripping. Alpha sighed and swiftly cleaned the blood from the floor with a wave of her hand. She put a hand on her forehead and started massaging it as she instructed, "Omega, discreetly monitor her for a while. Report any unusual behavior back to me."

"As you order, my lady," Omega replied before discreetly shadowing Alexia.

Alexia walked on, leaving a trail of blood droplets. Anger etched on her face, she marched with determination. Seeking answers, her only hope lay in confronting her sister.

As she walked, people cleared a path for her, cautious of any potential confrontation. Arriving at the school, she paid no heed to the curious gazes of the students. At that moment, her reputation held no importance; she was indifferent to its fate. Reaching her sister's office, she ignored the stationed guards and barged in, smudging the door with a smear of blood.

Iris, engrossed in paperwork, glanced up and noticed Alexia's entrance, her expression seething with anger and a hint of blood on her lips. Iris hurriedly rose from her seat, concerned. "Alexia! What happened? Are you h—" Before Iris could finish her sentence or examine Alexia further

*SLAP*

Alexia's palm struck Iris's cheek abruptly, leaving behind a red handprint. Shocked, Iris held her cheek, bewildered by the sudden action, and looked at Alexia, who appeared tearful.

"How could you!" Alexia's voice seethed with anger.

"What?" Iris asked, bewildered. She was perplexed by the sudden slap, Alexia's tear-streaked face, the blood on her lips, and the bloodstains on her palms. So many questions remained unanswered.

More tears streamed down Alexia's cheeks. "How could you?" she repeated, this time with a tone of sadness.

"Why did you have him interrogated?" Alexia questioned.

"Huh? Is that what this is about? You didn't have to resort to physical violence to ask such a question. The answer is obvious. He was the most likely suspect, and we had no other choice. He was your fake boyfriend; who else were we supposed to question? You should be grateful. Do you have any idea how worried I was about you?" Iris responded.

Upon hearing this, Alexia's anger surged, and she punched Iris in the center of her face. Due to her heightened emotions, her magical strength increased slightly, sending Iris flying through the room, breaking the wall that separated them from the outside.

Iris enhanced herself magically, surviving the fall. Meanwhile, Alexia leaped through the hole she created, landing forcefully and cracking the ground. As she approached Iris, she screamed, "I SHOULD BE GRATEFUL! SHOULD I BE THANKFUL THAT YOU SENT THE ONLY MAN WHO HAS TAUGHT ME AND MADE ME STRONGER TO BE TORTURED?"

Iris quickly got up from the ground and spat blood to the side. "Fine, if you won't listen to my words, I'll have to find another way to make you understand," she said sharply.

Putting up her two fists and bracing herself, Iris charged towards Alexia. Iris began throwing quick punches, but Alexia skillfully blocked or deflected them. Alexia, whose anger persisted, struck Iris in the stomach, causing her to exhale sharply.

Pushing Iris back, Alexia continued to express her anger towards her sister. "I should be grateful, you say! I should be grateful that you kept the person who's the only reason I'm alive today, chained up like a dog."

When Alexia aimed another punch at Iris's face, Iris was prepared. Catching the punch, she attempted to pull Alexia closer, aiming to headbutt her. However, Alexia anticipated this move and retaliated by positioning her head for a headbutt as well.

Both of them sustained injuries, blood flowing from their foreheads. With narrowed eyes, Alexia glared at Iris. "I will never forgive you for what you did to the only man I ever and will ever loved."

Iris screamed in frustration, both of them wincing while holding their foreheads. "I didn't do anything! Why do you keep accusing me of things I didn't do?"

Alexia, boiling with anger, enhanced herself while Iris followed suit. The commotion attracted more students, who watched from afar, hesitant to get too close to the conflict.

"THINGS YOU DIDN'T DO? WHOSE FAULT WAS IT THAT INSTEAD OF A PROPER INTERROGATION, THEY WHIPPED HIM UNTIL FLESH CAME OFF HIS BONES?"

Alexia's eyes were red from crying, reflecting her intense emotions. "YOU MADE THE PEOPLE CLOSE TO HIM HATE US. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO TRIED TO MAKE ME A BETTER PERSON. HE'S THE REASON I AM WHO I AM TODAY. AND BECAUSE OF YOUR ACTIONS, HE MAY NEVER LOVE ME THE SAME WAY AGAIN.."

Alexia drew out her sword, aiming it at Iris, prompting Iris to click her tongue and draw out her sword as well.

the atmosphere crackled with an ominous energy as Alexia and Iris stood facing each other, their powers pulsating with an otherworldly brilliance. Unbeknownst to Iris, Alexia's heart seethed with an unquenchable fury, fueled by the anguish of thinking of the love of her life tortured, an act she attributed to her oblivious elder sister.

Empowered by their magical abilities, the siblings' aura intensified, enveloping the glade in an ethereal glow. Their conflict, no longer confined to mere swordplay, erupted into a spectacle of destructive energy, as they unleashed their augmented powers with reckless abandon.

With a surge of raw emotion, Alexia channeled her anger into a maelstrom of devastating energy, targeting Iris with fierce, crackling bolts that tore through the serene surroundings. Iris, caught off guard by the sudden escalation, attempted to shield herself, but the sheer force of Alexia's wrath overwhelmed her defenses.

In retaliation, Iris retaliated with waves of power, each blast tearing through the surroundings with an explosive force. Trees splintered, the ground trembled, and the once peaceful glade transformed into a battleground wreathed in chaos.

Their destructive clash continued unabated, fueled by a tempest of emotions and unrestrained magical prowess. The facade of their school loomed in the distance, its structure threatened by the cataclysmic forces unleashed by the dueling siblings.

Spectators from the school peered out, aghast at the tumultuous display before them. Some attempted to intervene, but the sheer magnitude of the sisters' magical fury made it impossible to approach the chaotic spectacle unfolding in the glade.

Within the storm of unleashed power and unbridled rage, the rift between Alexia and Iris widened, their bond shattered by the irreparable harm done to the love of Alexia's life. Their conflict, a manifestation of raw emotion and unrestrained power, threatened not only the surroundings but also their once unbreakable sisterly bond, leaving devastation in its wake.
