Chapter 275: Tricked (1)

"All good things must come to an end," Hazel said, looking out the carriage window to the familiar sight of homes in Lockwood.

The days seemed to have gone by faster as her trip was over and they were to return to the palace. Hazel wanted to stay a few more days but she could not. Not when they had much to get back to.

While the duration of her trip was fun, Hazel was in a somewhat foul mood. It had nothing to do with her or Tobias but with another letter she was able to receive from her parents. Tobias had gotten a palace guard to have letters for Hazel taken out of the palace right away so they could not be read by anyone. 

"Why are we taking this road? It will take us away from the palace. Is the driver lost?" Hazel wondered.
