Chapter 212: Eternity, Part Thirteen

The colossal eye of Saren turned, its gaze falling directly on Lianna.

The atmosphere grew heavy with a palpable, oppressive energy. His voice echoed throughout the entire city, a deep, resonant timbre that seemed to vibrate through the bones of everyone present.

"Children of Mana," Saren's voice boomed, "do you not wish to rule your own world? To become the oppressors instead of the oppressed? Join me, and I will grant you the power to reshape reality itself! I will let you take all your anger out on those who wronged you. All you need do is kill the humans standing next to you, and you will be spared by my Fiends. I promise." 

Not many people took him up on that offer. A couple did, though they were quickly put down. 

Most children of mana, however, simply fixed their eyes on Saren, same as the humans, all considering him to be the enemy.
