"This is exactly why I didn't tell anyone," Myra confessed, her voice carrying the weight of the unspoken truth.

John, seeking understanding, questioned, "Why?"

Myra explained with a sense of finality, "No matter what they would say, I'm still going to leave, so it's best to do it quietly."
