Chapter 63: RESCUE

"So I heard you guys like to make an entrance by flying in," Emma quipped, attempting to infuse some humor into the atmosphere.

Suddenly, the mission director's voice resonated through the earpieces, startling everyone. "Yes they do," he said.

"You, I have a bone to pick with you," Kyle asserted, introducing a note of tension.

"Save it for next time. Saintess, how are you feeling?" the mission director shifted the focus, seeking Myra's well-being.

"I'm good," Myra responded with assurance.

Intrigued, Emma inquired, "So you're the one who will help us on missions?"

The mission director clarified, "Usually, but not much today. The seven of you will have to rely on each other. Best of luck, Team Alpha."

The decisive moment arrived as Team Alpha prepared to jump off the plane. Emma, with determination in her eyes, declared, "I'll jump with you," directing her words to Dylan. He simply nodded, acknowledging the choice.
