The drone rapidly approached the incident area and, when it was about 20 kilometers from the scene, it suddenly climbed sharply to an altitude of 500 meters. With a shudder of its airframe, two air-to-air missiles disengaged from the weapon rack, the missiles ignited, trailing white smoke as they rocketed towards the target ahead.

The two F-15J fighters of the Japan Self-Defense Forces were patrolling the skies when the distant drone suddenly increased altitude, and their onboard radars immediately detected the drone's trace. However, on their radars, the signal appeared as the latest model of the US F-15 Fighter.
