Chapter 23: Chapter 23 Baby, Don't Hurt

Hank Clegg quickly shut the car door and rushed back.

He crouched down, grasped Toto's shoulders, and examined her arm.

After confirming that there were only some blood stains and red marks on her arm, but she wasn't injured, he asked with concern, "What happened? Toto?"

Toto pouted pitifully, "Auntie's nails are so sharp, it hurts..."

Hank Clegg's face darkened instantly.

He turned around and asked Phoebe Wood with a voice that could make anyone shiver, "Did you pinch her?"

Phoebe Wood's mouth was already twisted with pain. Hearing this, she immediately held up her fingers. Several of her front nails had broken off and were bleeding.

Earlier, she had wanted to pinch Toto's soft little arm to vent her anger.

Who would've thought that Toto merely blocked it and her long nails all broke off. It hurt as if her heart was being pierced, and she involuntarily screamed in pain.
