I was going from the laboratory tomorrow am not working thanks God I've been tired every day thanks God tomorrow am not working since the next day is thanksgiving I walk slowly looking for a tax but a black Bentley stops beside me rolling down the window " get in " James says smiling at me but am not having any of this he can't ghost me for days and come here smiling who does he think he is
" am not going with you am I already called an Uber " I lied to him turning around but he parks and come after me "Leila don't make me run after you it's not good for me just get in the car" she pulls me by my arm but I just push him hard that he took a few steps back " don't you dare come here ordering me around as if am your employee James you ghost me one time and the other you want me in your car fuck you that's low for you too" I turn to walk again but he step in the way
" Leila I've been busy please just get in the car and let's talk " he looked around i don't know what he is looking at but am not buying it
" just leave me alone I told you am not going anywhere with you " i yell at him but he just doesn't do anything he looks around stand there i could see that he looked perfectly fine apart from his messy hair I know he likes to run his fingers through his hair when he is stressed about some thing I see a tax passing and I stop it by raising my arm" tax" it's stopping when James hold me facing him " Please don't go" he begs me with his eyes I can see that it's as if am leaving from his life forever " Leila please don't leave me " he shake his head begging me with his eyes and just like that this man is really my weakness I can't stay mad at him for a long time I relax my shoulders he turn to the tax who is waiting " sorry sir she is not going " the tax took off and he lead me to his car he opened the car for me I get in and he goes around getting in too and drives off he drive to his apartment we didn't say anything the all the way until we got to his apartment we get out of the car we go to the elevator he is wrapping his arms around my low back I lean in too him walking he open his door and we enter
" what do you want to eat i could take you out but am really tired so i could order for you anything you want " he ask me removing his suit putting on the couch
" we haven't gone on a date for a long time now" i try to remember the last time he took me on a date well except for the lunch these past days he took me on it's been forever the last time he took me on a real date
"Am sorry baby I will make it up to you i promise " he hold my shoulder pulling me to himself he wrap his arms around me I place my hands on his chest " I missed you " he whispered kissing my neck
" well not enough to make time for me " he stop kissing me raise his head face me " am sorry next time I will do better " he promises "what is it you really don't look fine " he ask me of course I've been sick from this pregnancy am having my second appointment tomorrow I hope the doctor give me something that will help " I've been sick " I inform him staring at my hands which are on his chest
" why didn't you tell me since when " he sound offended
" it's been days the doctor gave me some medicine to help with throwing up but am not okay still mom told me that it's the pregnancy that it will pass with time " i explained to him " tomorrow am having my second appointment come with me" i cup his face looking him in the eyes i really want him to be there for me and stop ghosting me " what time is it " he ask me
"In the morning at nine" I inform him he open his mouth to talk but close it again he close his eyes leaning in his head in my hands " you can't make it ?" I ask him feel sad more than angry he open his eyes pull me to his chest he hold me tight " am sorry baby please forgive me " he apologize but why is he acting like this is it the company or there is something wrong it's feels like his is pulling back from me " are you sure you are not doubting about this baby not being yours " he pulls me back staring at me " not only are you ignoring me but you also ignoring this baby since from the first time I told you about this pregnancy you thought I cheated on you " i explain tears forming in my eyes
" Leila am into this just as much as you this baby is mine and I believe you I apologized I know sorry don't fix things but please be understanding baby am going through a lot am dealing with a lot Leila you know I love you all am doing is for us " he explained cleaning the tears that are falling down on my face with his thumb I let him turn around " am going to bed " I go to his bedroom remove my clothes put in his big t-shirt and go into the covers I was drifting off to dream land when I hear James coming into the bed he pulls me to his chest slowly cuddle me put his hands on my belly under the t-shirt" Leila" he calls me but I pretend to be sleeping since I don't want to argue with him " am sorry baby I wish i could make things right fight this and be there with you I wish i could find a way to explain things to you I love you Leila and I will fight for you until my last breath….be good to mommy " he say the last words rubbing my small belly i keep quiet James bury his face between my head and shoulder and we fall asleep together
