Chapter 11: Baseball
/Elijah POV/
It's been a week since Rosalie has found out what I am, recently Edward and Bella have gotten a lot closer to the point that she has found out not only what the Cullens are but also what I am.
As I was getting ready to go to the Cullens house to meet Rosalie for their Baseball game I saw Edward pull into the driveway.
"What are you doing here Edward," I asked him.
"Waiting for Bella," he said in a frightful tone most likely because of the time I threw quarters at him.
"For What?" I asked slightly confused.
"For the baseball game." He said which made me even more confused why would he bring her there she wouldn't be able to play did he want her to just watch?
Giving up and deciding that it was none of my business I got into my car and started to drive to the Cullens.
When I arrived just as I opened the car door Rosaile appeared out of nowhere and hugged me, "I could have fallen" I told her as I hugged her back.
"I knew you would catch me," she says before looking down at my outfit, "No you can't wear that," She said before dragging me to the house and into her room.
"Here, she says before throwing me a baseball cap and a matching set of clothes.
"I don't know about this one Rosalie," I told her but she apparently wouldn't take no for an answer as she told me to get changed.
"Where" I asked her and when I did she began to smile before telling me "Right here."
Without any embarrassment, I began to get undressed while Rosalie just sat there and watched.
When I took my shirt off I could hear Rosaile gasp causing a smirk to appear on my face.
When I was done changing we went downstairs to see that all the Cullens were outside preparing to leave and head to the woods, as we followed after them and arrived, I heard Edwards's car pulling in with Bella and Edward getting out.
Before the game started we had to choose teams, In which it was Me, Rosaile, Carilise, and Edythe VS Alice, Edward, Emmett, and Jasper.
As Rosalie was batting first she hit the ball forward but Edward ran for it, before she could get to home base Esme caught the ball and Bella said she was out causing her to look at her with an angry look.
"Come on it's just a game," I told trying to calm her down and as I did that Carilise went up to bat in which he made it home, when it was finally my turn I hit the ball directly forward but before I could start to run I heard the noise of twigs being stepped on and then Alice yelled "Stop"
When we all turned to look at who it was we noticed that they were vampires, as soon as I saw them Edward and I ran straight to Bella, and soon after so did the rest of the Cullens. When the Vampires arrived right in front of us the one with dreads began to speak.
"I believe this belongs to you," he said while throwing the ball to Carilise, Carilise thanked him before they began to introduce themselves.
Right when Bella and Edward were about to leave the vampire named James caught the scent of Bella.
Just when he was about to attack I ran and grabbed James by the neck.
"What do you think you doing" I asked him, and before the woman Victoria could stop me, I ripped his head right off of his body.
"NOOO" Victoria yelled before attempting to attack me but right before she could Rosaile appeared and threw her to the ground.
"Disobedience gets you nowhere," I told her as it seemed she wanted to attack again but was stopped by Laurent this time.
"Enough"
"Let's go Victoria" Laurent the vampire with dreads said before he dragged her with him away.
"Are you alright Elijah?" Rosalie asked me while she checked my body for injuries.
"I'm fine," I told her before walking up to the shaken Bella who was being calmed down by Edward.
"Are you alright?" I asked her and she nodded.
"That woman Victoria she's gonna come back," said Edward
"How do you know," I asked him and Rosalie then explained to me that Edward could read minds.
"Can you read my mind?" I asked him.
"No I can't read yours or Bella's," he told me which made me wonder if that was the reason why I couldn't Compel Bella.
As I was in my thoughts Edward helped Bella to his car before getting in and driving her back home.
As I was about to tell Rosaile I was going to leave I felt her cold hand grab mine.
"What's wrong" I asked her while tightening my grip on her hand.
"Stay," she said and I swear if I was human I wouldn't have been able to her.
"Okay," I told her without asking any questions.
For the rest of the night, Me and Rosalie stayed in her room talking, laughing, and lying together, until I fell asleep.
When I woke up I saw Rosalie lying next to me playing with my hair.
"Hey," I said to her in my tired voice
"Hey," she said with a smile on her face
As we were getting ready for school I began to think, If what Im finding out about the vampires is common then even though they are weaker than the vampires I know of they might have more useful abilities that can help with my new family and can help me get back to my old one, And Maybe I could Sire vampires like the Strix.
