Chapter 56: (LVI) Slerm

Ichiko, Isaac, and the chieftain sat around the fire, the warmth of the flames providing a cozy atmosphere. Hia and Lin were outside the gates, digging using the villager's tools to bury Chai and Tui.

Kaitlyn and Nathan had passed out and were sleeping beside the fire while the chieftain began to speak, her voice carrying a sense of reverence.

"Kaax has blessed our tribe. He is a God of succulence." she said. "He has gifted every one of our tribes with a small totem, granting them a portion of his great power."

Ichiko and Isaac exchanged curious glances, eager to learn more.

"The totem is imbued with a magical energy that enhances the bounty of fields and attracts docile animals toward it." The chieftain continued, "It ensures that the tribes that worship him never go hungry."

"That's amazing!" Ichiko exclaimed, "But I've never heard of goblin farmers before; why would they want it?"
