Chapter 27: She’s better than me

MARIE'S POV.

"Why are you being so cold? What's up with the attitude?" I ask Eric, and he does nothing but avert his gaze from me which tells me something must really be wrong.

"Did Sarah put you up with this?" I ask once again, pressing further as I stand on my feet.

"She is my sister and I would listen to her. She knows what is best for me but she didn't pressure me into doing anything," he answers with time I had gotten used to him, and he was actually finally appealing like Eric unlike earlier.

"What is the issue? what is wrong wrong, speak with me," I say drawing nearer to him,

"If anything was wrong, how do I suppose you are to help? Can you help? What can an omega like you do here?" he says again but this time I get all his cryptic and analysis.

He's trying to make me feel bad and push me away but I've known him and I could say I've studied him well enough to know what his sighs and blinks mean.
