Basically, the work of these prophets and prophetesses is to prophesy people with foretell sticks and earn money through sexual services.
And for the purpose of getting all these prophecies and sexual services, caravans of people from different parts of Mesopotamia come to this city to celebrate the pilgrimage.
Today is the full moon of the month of Abib ( Spring ) , a big moon is shining in the sky among billions of stars.
In the clear sky, the stars are also radiating their brightness in parallel with the moon.
Today at Hepoti Temple, thousands of people gathered.
The Phylo celebration will start shortly.
All the residents of Hepoti city and pilgrims are lined up around the temple waiting to see the celebration.
As usual 36 female Prophetesses and 36 male prophets of the temple have participated in today's Phylo celebrations.
A hundred buffaloes and cows are tied at the far end of the temple premises, all of which will be sacrificed to the god Baal and the goddess Asherah.
The meat of the sacrificial animals will be cooked during the Phylo ceremony.
In the city of Gaadh, the number 36 is considered sacred. Because three is the number of union and six is the number of love.
Phylo is essentially a primitive ceremony of sexual intercourse between men and women.
In our language it is called sex ritual.
Men and women will meet under the sky in front of the idols of God and Goddess in the open square in the sacred sex ritual and they will be enjoyed by the people as a union of God and Goddess.
The men participating in Phylo represent Baal, the god of fertility, and the women represent Asherah, the goddess of sexuality.
This phylo program is organized by meeting both men and women.
